Continuing to eat less and get off my butt to get ready to go snowshoeing by working out.

Get my finances ready and an idea of what I'm going to do in retirement.

Don't forget "The longer you go the shorter it gets."

Have a Happy, Safe, Prosperous, New Year.

To become more knowledgable of local politics and keep up with where and how our taxes are being used. I am improving my quality of life by continue not to smoke and continue using my support group for weight loss. I will also continue volunteering as much as possible helping out people less fortunate.

Sounds to me we have another local business person who wants to take on the TEP money like another business person did to open the AIS that is now being sold to a sheriff's office for non payment of taxes. That was another tricky trade through a private corporation, just like the Local Development Corp. Anyone know who is heading this corporation. Could it be Open Sky Healing Center?

Mine might sound selfish to you guys but... My New Years Resolution is to do more for myself. It is greatly needed after a year (or more) of making sure everyone else in my family is greatly taken care of, and neglecting myself mentally and physically. Next year its my turn to make sure I'm of sound mind and body.

sorry but mine are my goals. I have already quit smoking for over a month, I go to a weight loss group because I want to be healthy and I do want to stay more informed since my father is not here to tell me his views, I will need to become better at politics. I too am doing something for myself.

This was a big secret until. After several phone calls I found out. The officers of the Local Development Corporation are:

President - Larry Dolhof, Former Legislator
Vice Pres.- Rick Lucas, Legislator and Chair-Economic Development Dept.
Eric Virkler - Director of Economic Development

The county has given them monies in the past to provide certain economic development services. This was found in the meeting minutes of the Board of Legislators. Don’t be surprise who sponsored the resolution and who voted for it. They meet privately at the Village of Lowville offices. The Local Development Corporation minutes are unavailable to the public.

By the way, this is like one great big social affair for certain hand picked people. This puts the Elks Club’s underground legislator meetings to shame.
