Total Joke! When the fuck is it ever open? What good is it if the hours are the same as my doctors are? Half the time I go there and they are either not open or they can't see me for what I need!!! I am 26 years old and I went there because I had a problem with being able to clear my chest of flem, and I have a head cold! The dumb bitch in there wanted to send me to the ER because she said she had to make sure it wasn't my heart?!?! WHAT!!!! Are you fucking kidding me? Wow, you ppl in there are useless and of no help to Lowville at all! You are why the ER is packed all the time!!! Is there another walk in clinic in Lowville or Carthage that anyone knows of???

The point of the post was not my "cold", and I am aware of the cold med isle at Walmart. Point is, like everything else in this forsaken place, the Urgent Care sucks as much as the whore that walks the streets for soup on a daily basis. And too "REALLY", Yes I can handle a common cold and I can even handle the chest congestion, but what I can't handle is the dumb bitches who don't want to do their jobs to tell me if it's just a common cold or if it's something more!!!

I, for one am hoping that there are some restrictions placed on Medicaid soon so that our emergency room can stop being used like an urgent care for things as simple as a cold or sore throat. I have to wait until Monday when my doctor's office opens up because I can't afford the co-pay for an emergency room visit....an emergency room is for emergencies, nothing more. This makes me irrate because in the end it is my tax dollars that pays for the visit if you have Medicaid!

It's ridiculous that people use the system like that for minor things. I bet they wouldn't run to the ER if they had to pay out of their pocket. Even if they had a co-pay they might learn how to self remedy.

I guess I need to clarify that I am not on any public aid what so ever. My insurance is United Health Care if you must know, and I have a copayment that I have to pay with each visit of $25- when I go see my family doctor or urgent care docs.... So bite me, and you can keep your Welfare receiving comments to use for your low life self!=)

No one cares that you couldn't treat your common cold and made it someone else's problem.

Just think how much over the counter medicine you could have bought (and had for the next cold) with that $25 co-pay. That wasn't too smart!

TUg Hill Urgent Care used to be open I think to 8pm, and on weekends. This was helpful so I didnt have to miss time from work to go or take the kids for ear infections or whatever. It is too bad they shortened the hours they are open.
For the people complaining about use of medicaid for ER trips-if Urgent Care, and local drs were open non-traditional hours and reserved more slots for more urgent "sick" visits maybe those on medicaid wouldnt have to resort to going to the ER. Most dr's put off or encourage those on medicaid to go to the ER.
No, I am not on medicaid, & I pay for my portion of the premiums and pay for my own copays.

You missed my point...I choose to not use the ER for everyday illnesses because it is more expensive,$86 just to walk in the door. Why would I want to pay for someone who has Medicaid to go to the ER for these same illnesses when I can't afford to pay that amount for me or my family? They should have to do what the rest of us who pay for our insurance and their Medicaid do and call the doctor's office and make an appointment. It's about economics...and I don't believe that the doctors encourage those on Medicaid to go to the ER.

It is sad how they misuse Medicaid. Imagine going to the ER because you had sex and you need to know right away if you're pregnant. I've seen it done and it blows me away. I wait for the doctors as I too have a co=pay of 50.00 for emergencies.

It makes a difference where you go when you have to pay those copays!$50 is a bit high for a copay. We end up paying for these Medicaid patients through our taxes, which come out of our paychecks (that we work hard for) so they can run to the ER for every little sniffle as we either wait out the illness or wait to see our family doctor. Something is wrong with this picture! Then they sit home and pop out more babies so we can pay some more. It's a vicious cycle that someone needs to fix!

Here we go... welfare this welfare that....Grow up.
I bet half the people who bash welfare recipients would like to consider themselves good upstanding christians. Point being... the big man above said we should help those less fortunate. You should take honor in helping others. Not everybody is abusing the system. Not to mention that we all get older. As this happens our health does not aleays cooperate. You yourself may need some of this assistance someday. I just saw on cnn last night some Dr. running diyalisis clinics acroos the counrty is under allegation of ripping off medicare/medicaid of hundreds of thousands of dollars. It's though he did this intentionally. I bet he's not on welfare. Get over yourself. Yippe you work. Most people do and pay taxes just like you. I'm sure it makes you feel better about yourself to disrespect those less fortunate but you are obviously very ignorant. It's called recipracation. Those patients who visit the ER are probably keeping the hospital open. What about social workers. No need for them without welfare. There goes there job. Just grow up and get over yourself already. try to battle with some facts rather than stereotype you unoriginal fools. Your cool. Urgent Care sucks. Been there. And guess what??? I paid for myself grrrrrrr. Was treated terribly. I mean really bad. You want Stuff fixed??? Adress your local politicians. Adress the stste. Adress the Federal Gov't. After all they are really the ones MAKING you pay. Oh wait, why do that. I'll just complain about how all my hard earned money goes to a system that is there for all who may need it. You could be the next one....But I bet that would be different now wouldn't it. The real scum are those who get off on others misfortunes. Karma always finds a way. Do you have any idea what all your other taxes go to besides welfare??? I bet we could find something more wasteful that NOBODY benefits from. We won't complain about that though. It's all the welfare ppls fault isn't it. As your gov't builds drones to spy on you, Secret Service agents and hookers, fast and furious scandal, Bengahzi, two wars, housing crash from Wall street, high unemployment rates, Generals adultering, Bail outs for corporations, I can go on and on and on......yet you think welfare needs to be fixed. Wake up, grow up....the wool is obvioulsy over your eyes.

Hey Poor You....since you are riding your high and righteous horse how about you sit vigil at the LCGH emergency room and hand everyone who is having a non-emergency and enrolled in Medicaid a nice crisp $100 dollar bill out of your wallet? I did not bash welfare recipients at all, I asked that those who receive Medicaid act responsible and be accountable for that they do not have to pay for. Is that wrong? Is that un-Christian of me? NO, it is NOT! Yes, I myself may need assistance one day, or my elderly parents may need assistance one day, but the difference between me, them and those who I was speaking of is that we have a sense of accountability and a sense of what is "needed" rather than "entitled". I will say it again on this site, to my legislators, to my Congressman and to anyone who is listeng...THERE ARE NOT GOING TO BE ENOUGH OF US WORKING TO SUPPORT THOSE WHO ARE NOT CONTRIBUTING TO THESE SOCIAL PROGRAMS FOREVER!!!!!
