MARTINSBURG — A Lowville woman was injured in an all-terrain vehicle crash at 2:29 p.m. Saturday on Gardner Road in the town of Martinsburg during the annual Snirt Run.
Lewis County sheriff’s deputies said Tammy A. Gingerich, 46, Lowville, was a passenger on a westbound ATV driven by Paul T. Taylor Jr., 32, Lowville.
Mr. Taylor was passing a group of ATVs when the lead driver, Bryan C. Brady, 29, Davidsonville, Md., began making a left-hand turn onto Borkowski Road without signaling, and Mr. Taylor hit the left side of his machine.
The impact knocked Mr. Brady and his passenger, Laura Elliott, also of Davidsonville, off the machine, while Mr. Taylor’s ATV rolled several times, ejecting both riders.
Ms. Gingerich was taken by Lewis County Search and Rescue to Lewis County General Hospital, Lowville, for treatment of a possible concussion.
Mr. Taylor was charged with failure to reduce speed for an intersection and failure to signal, answerable in Martinsburg Town Court.
State police, state Department of Environmental Conservation officers, Martinsburg firefighters and Croghan and Beaver Falls ambulance squad members also assisted at the scene.

the pictures of wheelers crossing a field obviously being used for planting, another off the trail in running water w/o a helmet and to top it off the "classy" blow up doll all illustrate the stupidity of some riders that helps the opposition. get a clue people or loose your priviledge.

Why wasn't Mr Brady charged with failure to use turn signals? Had it been a car accident the driver of the first car would have been charged with failure to signal.

Did anyone hear about the wheelers stuck in the mud up at Flat Rock. I don't hear anyone talking about all the manpower needed to get to these wheelers to get them out. It started out with 8 stuck and ended up hearing appr 75 at which time they were asking UTV, yes not legal to ride the roads to come and help get them out because they could not get to them with other trucks etc. Then manpower was called from Martinsburg Fire Department to help out. Wonder how much it would have cost them if it wasn't for volunteers. The locals know enough to stay away from most places and as you see, every stop was most likely at a bar to get your next card. Why is it that they will change the rules for this one event? Glad I have a place to ride and don't have to be around people who could care less about our area here in Lewis County and Tug Hill. Show some respect or stay home.

Saturday was a rendetion of the Wild Wild West. The natives are suppose to grin and take it. The law turns the heads the other way. After all it is all for the sake of the till at the local gin mills. Pick up a card race through the mud to the next local establishment ( gin mill ) drunk and move along. Damage local's property, state right of ways, etc. Who's going to pay for the farmer;s field?( the clubs) Who's going to pay for the extra DPW's that had to clean up?( the clubs)

Wake up Lewis County it is time to take back what little we have left. The time is now.

Was that blow up doll Rick Lucas's twin brother? Or was it the bartender.

He probably was one of the more intellectual's to be involved in the property rape endeavor.
