Finally a fair assessment! It will be good to see them reopen. The previous assessment of 1.3 million was a joke!

From themoose.net
Racing will be returning to Lewis County. A special meeting of the New Bremen Town Council was held last night to present an agreement between the town & Adirondack International Speedway in an effort to reopen the racetrack, which has been closed since the end of the 2009 racing season. The resolution, which was accepted unanimously by the board, places a new taxable value of $61,500 on a smaller section of the property while the larger piece, which houses the track, is now assessed at $572,100. These new amounts replace a total assessment of $1.3 million, which had prompted track owner Paul Lyndaker to file suit. Both sides, with direction from their attorneys, have agreed to the new arrangement, which retroactively changes the assessed value starting in 2011 and lasts through 2015. The agreement will be brought before a judge and the case should be settled, allowing the track to reopen. Mr. Lyndaker stated that itís likely too late for any race action this season, but he is already fielding calls from sponsors and race representatives eager to start racing in New Bremen again.

Maybe Paul should also admit he got shutdown by the Dept of Health. He made an agreement with them - they allowed him to stay open but he never followed thru. He won't reopen without major updates that will have to beapproved by DOH.
oh yeah

If anyone was thinking that the race track in New
Bremen could be re-opening soon, Think again.
A State Supreme Court Judge ruled that "all parties
involved" in the State's initial "loan" to Paul
Lyndaker must "settle things" legally first. That means that the State can't "opt out" & leave Lewis
county "holding the bag". But I was told by Paul himself that he's already paid $600,000 back to the State & county & thus, doesn't "see" what the "hold up" is. He did that by selling off alot
of "assets" & almost put "Lyndaker Trucking" out of
business doing it. He had "high hopes" of getting the race track "going again" by next year but, with
today's ruling, it may not be happening at all.
