I don't see where she did anything wrong. She did not take a penny for herself. Why the big deal? Transfer the funds back to the other side of the book. This is not newsworthy.

If money was transferred to cover a deficit, then where did the original funds go?

I agree, she put the money there to cover something that wwas already missing, this most certainly is newsworthy. Just because of her name does not mean it shouldnt make headlines. Im glad she was caught!

Do any of you know how to read? then she tried to blame it on her daughter/grandaughter- classy- when discovered she diverted funds from a community project checking account to try an cover it up, Not the fist time Karin has been in trouble, ask her previous employer, You will never see that 17 grand, she spent it it is GONE!

Im pretty sure we all know how to read. The article did not say she stole the money. And why did it take 1 1/2 yrs for an arrest? Ridiculous!

I think we all know how to read. The article did not come right out and say she stole the money. This happened 1 1/2 yrs ago. Why did it take so long for an arrest to be made? Ridiculous!

That makes no sense. Either they had a case or they didn't. It doesn't take 1 1/2 yrs to do an investigation or even a "cover up."

if they felt she had stolen it the charge would be grand larceny. See the trail coordinator charges.

Hey, Audits can take a long time. Maybe they had to dig deep to find a paper, banking and transaction trail.

If she was in Turin she wouldn't have been arrested. Ask ex justice chase. He stole $39000 and got nothing from it. The town taxpayers took it up the ass on this one. Just another example of lewis county district attorney looking out for her buddies. I hope he gave her a share she earned it.

It took so long because the New York State Comptroller's Office didn't publish their report on the case until August of this year. The comptroller's report can be seen here:
