This has to be a mistake - Walmart management and Law enforcement actually allowed walmart employees to be in the store during a bomb scare -I am sending this off to national news - how LOW can you go - is that what their employees are worth - is that called disposable workers? This is totally unacceptable - I have a relative who works there - he probably can't speak up or will lose his job but I can't believe they did this - it must be a mistake

I read once when a journalist wrote about something they referred to Harrisville being in St Lawrence County. They along with lawyers are slowly ruining this conntry.

The store manager called the local sherriffs department, his response to the bomb threat was.... that we as a store in a small local area do not need a bomb sniffing dog. We go back in a look for anything out of place. So yes management and a few others had to make a sweep of the store with local police. So its not "the walmart" way of doing things........its Lewis Co. Everyone, shoopers and employees were out of the builing within minutes. Trust me I did not agree that this was the right thing to do as I was working that afternoon. I think that this should be looked into with a careful letter to the press.

It is NOT just Lewis County. This is NOT an unusual procedure. Who else is better to see something out of place, then the people who are familiar with the affected area? You can have anyone you want look into this, nothing is wrong with this procedure.

You guys look like morons when you comment on items that are foreign to your life experiences.

The manager didn't "tell" the others to go do it.
She went back inside with them and checked. She didn't ask them to do anything she wasn't doing herself. By the way, when the police department does not send the "bomb squad" what would you do?

Holy stupidity - when there is a fire at walmart what will the employees have to do - put it out themselves???- what if there is an injury - are the employees emt's too?? man they must make some big bucks - They should have been out of the store - no questions - its up to the police department not them - maybe the stupid store would have to close until proper authorities were there - how ignorant can you be???

Well there was a bomb threat quite a few years back at the hospital and do you think the employees did not stay inside and assist while the dogs were searching. Do you think they could have evacuated the whole 120 resident nursing home and hospital, along with all the doctors offices then start looking for a bomb. When you work somewhere, It may not be in your job description, but you need to do whatever is asked of you to make sure everyone is safe. Bomb squads are called I believe if a bomb is located to disassemble the bomb, not always to look for them. I think the employees and manager did exactly what they were probably trained to do at one time. Thanks employees and Thank God there was not a real bomb.
