Visualize Impeachment at the County Level

I can’t believe my eyes and ears, at a recent meeting of the Lewis County Board of Legislators an impeachment of a legislator was brought up by another legislator. Crazy world or what?

Is the impeachment process necessary and appropriate for county government? What is a criterion that applies to the impeachment of a county legislator? Will impeachment lead to expensive proceedings? Do the voters want to absorb that expense? Can the time of the legislators be used better in conducting the business of government?

We can prevent abuses and guide conduct by using another technique, an example: improving communications of rules and expectations. Generally speaking, voters have a role at the ballot box to remove a legislator and not that of another legislator.

With that said, board members should do what they believe right, but they should not be immune from the will of the people.

Yes, any legislator or other public official who leaks information to the public big mouths (J.D.) should be impeached. There are several conspiracies going on here. It is a power struggle and Ned you are simply in the way. They got rid of you once, take the hint.

Power struggles create coldness and anger instead of friendship and cooperation. Coldness and anger create bitterness, confrontation, and upheaval. Friendship and cooperation create a constructive working environment. A constructive environment can only be accomplished in an atmosphere of friendship and cooperation where there is no fear of condemnation, humiliation or distress. Legislators need to remove themselves from power struggles in order to be successful at their jobs of legislating. If we believe that there are power struggles we must REMEMBER IN NOVEMBER TO VOTE THEM OUT.

I like the old saying and believe it is appropriate to the comment of "Step Aside" - Sticks and Stones May Break My Bones, but Words Can Never Hurt Me. Enough said

I know a legislator who keep harassing a home owner simply because she wanted to buy their house. This legislator had been going in every single tenant and intruding her self as a county official to gain access to their apartment. Do you think it is fair for this legislator to do that?

Not a single legislator should be impeached. Instead, every one of them should be tied up and placed on a cart being pulled by a team of jackasses heading toward the Mexican border.

I'm confused by this Ned. Please explain, you are saying there is a woman legislator introducing herself as a county official. I thought we had all male legislators. Who's the female introducing her self. Or is it someone who was or planning on being a legislator?
