Enough is enough. Any truck with a modified exhaust will be getting a ticket. Stop embarrassing yourselves already. They all sound awful, and all are 100% illegal. See you soon.

Wow,sorry i pissed you off but from what i hear some of these trucks are owned by some cops. I don't see what the big deal is, their is not that many out there only the few that take it to far and they should get a ticket.A loud truck is ok but distrubing the peace is another matter! Modified exhaust are not illegal as long as they are not to loud.(MERRY CHRISTMAS)

if there illegal then why do the dealerships and inspection stations sign off on the ticket when nothing was done to the exhaust after you received the ticket it's just another way for that scumbag town to make money and push their weight around why don't they fight real crime instead of sitting at dunkin dougnuts and a-plus but like we always say in lowville if you don't have the right last name you might as well forget about it because they have thier own set of laws

First. It is illegal to make any modification to any exhaust. Look it up in the V&T book. But,, there is differce between a nice sounding after market exhaust and a exhaust that blats and sounds like shit. Use your head people.

a modified exhaust is not illegal as long as
1) the system contains a catalyc Converter
2) the system contains a muffler, resonator, or some sort of sound controlling device.
3) the ssytem does not exceed the decible level set by state, and local laws
if you buy an exhaust system from an exhaust manufacturer(Magnaflow, Xcelerator,Flowmaster, etc.) it is legal. the people that make cut out all the stuff from their exhaust a.k.a. Straight pipes. are the ones that should be ticketed.
