Some really rotten things have gone on with that soccer team over the years and it all comes back to one of the coaches (to anyone who knows anything about the girls soccer team I'm SURE I don't need to name names). HOW does Lowville get away with some of the stuff that goes on there?? SERIOUSLY??!! IDK just a bad day and a pet peeve of mine. Wondering if anyone else has any thoughts.

I could tell ya some stories. Im just thankful my little sister never played past AYSO - and we wanted her to!!! Ummmm newsflash to all soccer fans everywhere - soccer (ESPECIALLY Lowville soccer) is NOT what makes the world go round!!! HONEST TO GOD!!!! Did you even know there were other fall sports??? Yes, football - guess even a soccer fanatic would know that, but then there's tennis and swimming too!!!!! Seriously!! And all this talk about the ONE soccer player who is so amazing... do you know Lowville has some good swimmers but one in particular who ALSO EXCELS??? Mhmmm they sure do!

oh and might I add, that amazing swimmer, she's a junior and wasn't made captain just because her mommy coaches the team... I mean, just because she's SOOOO good - and she in comparison is just as good as that 10th grade soccer player. Yupper. Must be the swim coach has a conscience.

My daughter was on the soccer team forever, over the years it all got worse, I dont know how many times she was there just to warm the bench so the soccer coaches kid could shine. Track was the same way. Now that she is onto college, this is the most time playing she had in all her time at Lowville. Thanks coach, atleast we always had something to bitch about.

no one can do anything so it's not going to change anyway. Lowville has always been about who you are, where you come from, and who your parents or relatives are. if you're not important enough, no matter how good you are at something, you get crapped on. that's been going on for years and nothing is going to change that. that's just how Lowville has been and always will continue to be.

The swim team?? I was being sarcastic!! POINT BEING awesome swimmer not made captain just because she's "better than everyone else on the team" (which must be the excuse why the 10th grade soccer player was made captain, NOT that she's the "coach's" daughter, because it wasn't that she had the votes). Yeah the swim coach is a "guy" but obviously has some values when it comes to children (and without a teaching degree, hmmmm go figure) and a heart and a sense of being fair and knowing right from wrong when it pertains to his girls on his team!! And he can be all that and STILL be hard on them and lead them to being an awesome team! Go figure that one.

Dear Lowville,
After playing for this team for many years also serving as a captain i do understand the posts that are being made. But they are not neccessary. Everyone will complain over the years and the season get over it. This is the problem my four years playing for Lowville was some of the hardest times ever and college playing is just as hard. Lowville has a community and the sport of soccer prepares you for the rest of your life. All you parents who are complaining ask your kids whats it like to play. Stop yelling at our coaches who sacrific their time anf family time to coach us. It is not the kids who have the problem with the staff many might not like them but they will never talk as much shit as the parents do. Its for the love of the game. And i agree swimming and tennis doesnt get as much attention as they should, tennis had 48 straight wins and head great leadership and ability for 4 years straight. Swimming is always successful and they have a fantastic young swimmer who is a junior and gives everything she has to swimming, track and basketball and her coaches know that. So stop complaining about the coaching staff and grow up. Every player of Coach Sammon or Bach respects them no matter the circumstance and community does to. If you think you can do better why dont you coach? Ever tried being a coach,father/mother, community member in various activities. There is a reason Mr. Sammon was the speaker for the class of 2009 at graduation he is respected. Lets the kids play the sport that they go to school for 8 hours of the day to play. It would be alot easier if the parents would stop!

I'm not a parent of a current swimmer, soceer player, OR tennis player. I'm just a parent who has heard countless complaints. Being that I have no one on any of the teams I can be objective and you obviously don't know all that's gone on. Respect for Mr. Sammon, yes, I agree. There does appear to be that and from everything I've seen of him he is INDEED a great father, husband, teacher, coach. I'm not going to go into detail about why I personally chose to comment on this subject for several reasons. But you don't know everything, hun! Soccer, football, swimming, tennis.... they ALL teach you valuable lessons about life!! My oldest daughter was a swimmer and a basketball player, my two sons played football and baseball. They weren't always happy, they had their fair share of sitting the bench; NEVER, EVER did I complain!!!! I'm talking about other things. You're still young and maybe you don't have the insight yet to understand.

Wow, I would love to comment on this!! A few years ago there was a great swimmer who broke 11 school records, first time in history! She never got any recognition for it at all. If she were in soccer or track, she would have. The Lowville swim coach is an awesome coach who also, never gets recognition. Do you know how many years the swim team was Frontier League Champs, because of him? He has such dedication with the team. Why is it that every other sport takes precidence over swimming at Lowville? You dont ever see the athletic director at a meet or the principal, but hell they are at the football and soccer games!

It's works the same way in all the schools, not just Lowville, and not just Lowville girl's soccer. Favoritism towards teacher's kids is always going to happen.

Woohoo- go Lowville Sports! We should be supporting the whole school and all of the programs equally, every kid deserves support!Lowville has amazing athletes in every area of their athletic department and sometimes they dont always get the recognition we think they deserve-but such is life-it happens. Stay positive and be support of the kids. Don't be so negative about something you can't control.
