Maybe if the media would quit making such a deal out of every robbery latley these idiots robbing the banks would notice they will not go unfound. Come on! No different than school bomb threats, if you make a big issue they keep repeating. Wake up news. Let the police go home

very high gas prices, medicine is more expensive, milk is expensive, houses are forclosed in record numbers, & a lot of job losses! no, crime isn't the answer & yes, it happens in small towns!! do you lock your car or house- many in lowell DON'T.

Interesting thing is, that there was also a high speed pursuit about a 1/2 hour later in Lowell! I live in Lowell and the pursuit began in front of my house (well near by)! I guess Lowell is too quiet????

with the jobs in michigan declining people are going to do what thay have to to feed there family
if a young person has a couple of small kids and a 9.00 an hour job how will he or she buy gas and feed there family
the crime spree will only rise until the cost of living equels out

How will someone making $9 an hour buy gas or feed their family? Maybe get a second job, get some college education, or ask for some assistance from the state to get back on their feet. Committing crimes is not the answer. That will teach the kids a real lesson in life.

Excuse mebut if you have a family with children and you are making 9 an hour and if as you suggest work two jobs if 9 isn't enough $$$$ you suggest go to college on top of that oh and dont forget to make sure you are taking care of your kids in your SPARE time oh and now you have a new expense schooling . and child care too. and after you are done with getting your costly education you will still be in deep chit because ther aren't any high paying jobs any more . many of the better paying factories have done an across the board reclassifacation LOWERING the PAYSCALE > Steelcase and Amway are just two i know of but i am sure its more . NO DOING CRIME ISN'T THE ANSWER > but get real lady . College isn't always the answer. good paying semi skilled jobs are the answer .

I have family members who live on Washington St. just down the road. I called them to razz them about the fact that they are living in a Barney Fife kind of town when the bank robber escapes on a red bicycle and can't be found. While just across town the police apprehend suspects who flee in fast autos...Lowell is such a quiet sort of place. Reminds me of the Andy Griffith show!

everybody makes there choices in life. if you choose not to get a higher education, work hard to move up to a higher paying job that is your fault. you cant blame your problems on the president or the economy. everybody for the most part play by the same rules. they chose to have kids, family, cars to put gas in. if they cant afoord it on 9 and hour then better get another job

Wyoming Bob: I didn't say go to college AND work two jobs. All I'm saying is that there are other options other than robbing banks and committing other crimes. I am being real, don't expect to get a good paying job without college. People work hard to get an education, why should others without get the same or close to same pay? What about temporary state aid. That is there. Especially if you have kids. Which in my opinion stop having if you can't support them!
Tom: What makes someone college material? Anyone can go to college.

What a judgmental person!!!!!!!!!! Like you have any clue what peoples lives are like who live on $9.00 and hour jobs. You have probably been fed by a silver spoon all your life and had Mommy and Daddy to pay your way through school - while you got drunk and went to partys. Get a clue and get real!!!!

When I bought our house I had to work two jobs with a newborn at home. Yet, working 70 hours a week, I found time to spend with my wife and child, sleep and be on a basketball league. Quit whining and work.

Do the math:

24 hours in a day.
168 hours in a week.
- 70 hours a week for work = 98 hours
- 49 hours for sleep (7 hrs a night)= 49 hours
49 hours of free time / seven days = 7 hours

I managed to pull in $50,000 a year by myself doing that.

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Aquarius

There simply aren't enough hours in the day today for you to do everything that's on your list, so concentrate on the priorities. Don't feel guilty about what's been left out and start to worry about it. This isn't an easy day because you're feeling pressured and anxious, so don't expect too much from yourself. There's less energy than usual, which doesn't help.
