LOL always gotta love the "welfare" argument...
I was surprised to read that so many people have seen through this farce! Good job, all! Oil companies already know what we're willing to pay, since they have us over a barrel (pardon the pun). We'd never actually save any money.
The sad part is that people out there settling for a minimum wage job that requires them to drive a distance to work may even have to work as much as two days just to fill their tank! It's sick.

Lets give the extra monies to the already strapped municipalities to keep public safety and to improve local roads so they wont have to raise our milleage tax

Let's have a constitutional admendment to end LIFE TIME health care for lawmakers who work ONLY six years.
The legislators could ban it now, BUT they would still get the benefit. ONLY a constitutional admendment could end it for them too.

The use tax does that. This is just another tax on a tax that this state is so good at having... The sales tax on gas should either be left alone or abolished completely. Not that it would matter to eliminate it.... The people in Lansing would dream up a new way to take that money back anyway.

The reality is the consumer pays those taxes. If there is going to a refund of those taxes it needs to be to the consumer(s) "the state stole it from".

Small/Medium sized business cannot pass this entire amount on to the consumer or they would risk losing too much... Everyone is eating it.

And in my opinion the consumers shouldn't be paying any portion of it. It's a tax. Okay with the cost(s) of everything else involved in getting the product to the consumer. I agree though with the small/medium businesses. They're even getting the shaft because the large businesses are passing everything onto the consumer plus got their hands in the tax payers tax jar.
