Lowell woman indicted in ID thefts

A 38-year-old Lowell woman was indicted yesterday on dozens of charges, many of them felonies, after prosecutors say she stole the identities of at least 34 people, many of them doctors, and used the stolen identities to obtain credit cards in their names.

They need to make an example of this person. Give her the max on every count.

I have seen cases, including in a movie, in which the judge was more sympathetic with the criminal than with the victims. Let's hope that a more decent judge will take this case, unlike the one I saw in the movie, whom should end up in jail himself.

Someone stole one of my family member's identity to purchase big ticket items and open credit cards. We went through hell calling these places. I hope she goes to jail and becomes someone's bitch. have a nice life, fish!

Sad? What is so sad about it? Stealing other peoples lives is what is sad. She deserves whatever comes to her. People work hard for what they have, and then someone steals it from them.

What is sad is that she is a theif and a pathological liar. She should be locked up for a long time....

She did jail time last year too for theft and forgery but they let her out to do it again.

What I see as sad is the absolute hell the victims have to go through with the three credit agencies to get their credit straightened out. Thanks credit card companies and lobbyists.
I hope she gets the maximum allowed and then some.

Because she is a woman, she should receive some kind of preferential treatment? Are you serious. The laws in this country aren't strong enough as it is. Time to start making examples, and hopefully spare more people from this kind of crime.

I totally agree...people who use other people's identities and credit cards should be treated like the people who rob banks at gunpoint.
I also had credit card information stolen, and huge purchases were made all over Florida with it. I was so pissed off and it took so long to straighten things out. These thieves are scum and losers. they should work for a living and make their own money.

These people have no clue on the effect they have, and most of them are so apathetic that they just say "They have insurance" when they really don't know what the hell that means...

I'm so tired of these people. I had my Credit Card info stolen and it caused a minor headache compared to this...

The friggin' ice storm hits, I go to use the card to purchase a generator and other things like a few nights in a hotel and my card was no longer valid...some dirtbag rang up $5k in one day. It was resolved eventually, but we had to borrow money to get those things we should've been able to get without the hassle.

Instead of jail actually, why not pillories? I would love to throw some rotten veggies at people like this.
