I'm guessing she wasn't in a cross walk, and was wearing dark colored clothing? It's sad, but this story is no surprise.

If she was in a crosswalk, it would be hard to tell, because all the ones in Lowell are so faded and poorlu lit, you can't see them anyways.

Listen this lady was just on her way home from work and ran into the store it wasn't her fault and the driver that hit her shoule have been going slower, the driver should rot in hell and will be caught.

Where does it say the woman was wearing dark colored clothing, they are looking for a dark colored car.It doesn't matter anyway what she was wearing the driver is at fault and was probably under the influence of something because they didn't stop and get help.

r u serious sue is dead because of some loser that hit her and ran because he was a coward and besides the fact do you even know how many bars are on that road it was probably someone who was a drunk driver, and yeah im sure her clothes and a crosswalk would have matter then come on get real, if you dont know the circumstances dont comment
AS FOR GOD BLESS YOU THANK YOU AND I WILL SURE TO LET HER 2 SONS AND GRANDDAUGHTER AND HUSBAND KNOW THAT YOU HAVE THEM IN YOUR PRAYERS

What a shame...this woman did NOTHING wrong. Her poor family. I sure hope they catch the animal who did this. My uncle was killed by a hit and run driver that was never caught, but Karma is a good thing sometimes...it all comes back to you. Thoughts and prayers are with this family.

My prayers are with both families of this awful accident. This should never happen & this should be a wake up call to all drivers in lowell...SLOW DOWN & WATCH THE ROADS! This poor lady has lost her life because of someone else's lack of driving skills/attention. Although it won't bring the victim back to her family & friends, the driver of this accident should turn themselves in & pay the consequences of their actions. My heart is with the victims family!

I worked with Sue and she makes me look forward into coming to work when shes there. She was like a mom and my best friend. Now shes gone. But shes looking down on me. Miss you and love you sue. People drive too fast on Chelmsford St. The speed limit is not enforced. This neighborhood is invisible to City Officials. All they care about is business.

We work for the same company. Even though I never worked with her, I always see her at all the meetings and functions. Sue is such a sweet lady. Everytime I see her, she would say hi and is always smiling. My heart goes out to the family and friend of Sue.

I know the family and they are a hardworking very loving family, this is a tragedy and incomprehensable.God give them the strength to get through this. As for the driver young/old, man/women they WILL be caught and must have no heart to not have stopped or to even break when they see someone in the roadway. God will get them. I'm very sorry for all Sue's family and GOD BLESS you all.

I heard this on my scanner last night. The poor police officer knew fron the begining that it was a fatal and called fro all sorts of backup. Later one officer had to be sent home, he was so shaken. It sounded absolutely horrible. How can anyone do such a thing and live with themselves after?
You all are correct about Chelmsford Street being a speedway. I very rarely go down that way and after Lowe's gets in it will be even worse. Last I heard they were looking for a dark car with heavy front end damamge and blood on the grill.
I feel so bad for her family, from what some of you have said she wasa nice person. My prayers are with the family.
the sooner yhay catch who di it, the better.
