He fell from a 15 foot wall he was going over to take a short cut to a restaurant. Google it. Where is the proof that Betty Anne took all his money? It should have went to his daughter first and foremost. And Betty Anne did commit most of her life and marriage to finding him not guilty.

If money was not part of her motivating factor for freeing her brother, she would have shared at least some of the money, there was enough of it to go around. The fact that she did not share the money only proves that it was about money and not just love.

It would be dumb to assume that a sister or a brother would never put money before love, but let's face it we are all human and at one time or another have all been surprised by the actions of a brother, sister or another loved one. What would make them any different... Let's not judge the real sister through the eyes of Hollywood, lets keep an open mind and simply judge her by her actions. She frees brother then keeps all the money.

The fact remains that she put all her heart and soul into freeing her brother for something she knew he did not commit! he got railroaded by a crooked ass cop and lying witnesses! it sad that 18 yrs of this man life is gone and he only lived 6 months after his freedom to try and become a productive citizen in life for his daughter and family! such a sad but true movie of what can really happen to you for making a few mistakes in your life.

I have just watched the film and read many articles on the web. Kenny Waters estate was awarded 3.4 million dollars, but who cares. Money will never be enough for the time he lost in prison and the time Betty Anne spent trying to get him out. She sacrificed nealry half her life committed to geting her brother out of jail and he lost the best years of his and his daughters life. That is love, nothing to do with money. Betty Ann would never have known that Kenny would have been in prisn for that long and i'm sure would not have even thought of being awarded that much money. They should have been awarded 10 times that amount for police corruption and wrongful imprisonment.

For those that question the loyalty and motivation of this woman you should hold your heads in shame. If we all had an ounce of love in us for what Betty Ann done for her brother perhaps the world would be a better place.

The money is irrelevant in this case so for those that have even mentioned it i pity you.

You can actually see a photo of his last will and testament.In the will, he asks that in the future should anything happen to him, that all money be left to his sister,daughter,and believe it or not her mother{who flip/flopped her story}. And that she have power of att. of her daughters financials.
