Give that kid a baseball bat and let him conduct his own hit and run on the girl! The girl should rot in jail and her parents should be sooo proud in helping her trying to cover this up!

I have a feeling that justice won't be serve and the punishment won't be severe enough. Everybody should remember who she is and give her hell. This is one of the worst news I'd ever heard.

Hang in there Barbara. I too saw someone get seriously hurt being hit by a car. For weeks I played the accident over and over in my head. It will get better, especially knowing that he is getting better. What you are doing is so kind. We need more people in the world like Barbara.

Everytime I read about this I am sick to my stomach. This girl and her father should be ashamed of theirselves. They are dispicable people. She knew what she did and had no intent whatsover of coming forward. I hope her father is charged as well for aiding and abetting a criminal. She deserves jail time and to never have the right to drive again. She makes me sick. God help her.

As for Kelvin and family, you're in my thoughts, I'm glad he's going to be okay.

As for you immature little girl.....KARMA

I have read several articles on this accident. At first it was said the driver went through a red light, but now it sounds as if the police are not sure. Can the newspaper clarify this? Was the kid crossing the street during a green or red light?

Also how about clarifying if she went to her hair appointment or not. In other news articles they have the hair stylist quoted as saying the girl was calm during teh appointment. SO THIS girl actually went to her appointment then left and came back into the salon crying that her car had been damaged by vandals. What type of person could do this?

The driver of the car should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. For her father to say this was a "freak accident" he is truly a sick person. She is irresponsible and should never be allowed to drive again. She really believed she could lie and cover everything up. Shame on you missy. Dad you should be made to take parenting classes as you are definitely not teaching your daughter how to be a decent responsible person. To the little boy, get well quick, my prayers are with yu and your family. Remember, not EVERYONE is like this girl.

(Story from the Herald)

Police said Medeiros told them she saw a backpack and thought she hit something, but didn’t know what she hit.

Medeiros has been cited for leaving the scene of a personal-injury accident. Police said more charges are likely.

A man who answered the door at her home said the family had hired a lawyer and declined further comment.

Thats messed thuup, she's plannin to get away from it and hired a lawyer too. Thats BS. Must be the family evil plan to save the lil "angel".
Read the details, the evidence is all connected. No way she can get away. Them peoples from Lawrence, they're no good.

If she dont get punished to the full extent of the law she should deserve to get lined up in the face til she look like she got hit by a train. Thats what she should deserved.

She is under 18 so she will get a suspended sentence and community service from a liberal judge / court. She will then be free to get her hair done after her next crime.

O.K.,The witnesses did their civic duty and reported the incident to the police. The police did their job and caught and arrested the criminal, the public has expressed their outrage and demands the court apply the sentence as called for.
Who do you think will NOT apply the punishment that is called for?
Son of a gun!! Your right, the damn Courts.

Her Dad with the information he received was just getting the car fixed. In the beginning she lied to everyone. That is until she got caught. Remember no matter what you do ....it's always better to tell the truth. Best wishes to that little boy and his family.....
