LaHood's says current gasoline tax not enough to fund infrastructure.

updated 7:50 a.m. ET, Fri., Feb. 20, 2009

Would it be too much a conspiracy theory (especially after the Gregg torpedoing) to think that this Republican is also trying to gum up the works for Obama? Someone needs to tell Obama that bipartisanship is a 2 way street and that the Republicans have no interest in making him look good. Party before Country is their motto.

Are there any jobs in Nashua?
I heard that the ACLU is going to strongly challenge this idea.

Yeah, plenty of them... You can work at the food court in the mall for $6.00/hr or you can work at one of those sweat shops, like UPS for $10.00/hr...

With options like that, it's no wonder why Trashua, I mean Nashua, was voted the best place to live a few years back.

WHEWEEEEEEE!!!

Sounds like a plan.

This shouldn't be a partisan issue. This should be looked at as a big-brother scheme requiring yet more bureaucracy, and an attack on more fuel-efficient vehicles. If we have made it a national priority to cut down dependence on fossil fuels, and if people are buying more fuel efficient vehicles to do just that, why are we penalizing them, instead of increasing the federal tax on gasoline to make up the loss in revenue?

Hahaha...I HOPE that if this plan is implemented, it would cost those that commute from NH. It would only be fair, they use our roads as much as we do.

You could stand outside of the mall and hold one of those "SALE- Store Closing" signs for a few bucks an hour if you wanted to work in Nashua.

First the windbags from NH who clog up our roads, next the gas guzzling SUV's!

How would it cost them? They don't get MA inspection stickers. It will only cost you and everyone else that lives in this state.

They want to use an RFID chip in your registration sticker that goes on your license plate. This would have to be scanned when you go in for a new inspection sticker. Now I don't want anyone smashing their sticker with a hammer before they affix it to their car,OK?

Every morning, regardless of the weather, I take my coffee outside on the deck to drink it and look around. The yard always look the same, the squirrels and birds look the same. Yet our life is changing everyday. It's getting worse. There can only be one cause, people. Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely. Don't know who said that but they were right.
