Not a great day for the Rivera clan. First Jose in Chelmsford , now Carlos. Actions have consequenses? It would be nice to find that Carlos was an innocent victim of random crime but the odds are not encouraging. At least his pain is over and he is in the hands of God.

If all of these incidents happened at a bar, the bar would be closed down. Time for the sub shop to start closing at 11.

How many more people have to die or get hurt before this place is either shut down or forced to close early?? This is ridiculous.
Unfortunately, this placešs owner seems to have some occult power. We have been fighting to have his place closed, or limited on timing, to be closed earlier, thus avoiding the mobs that come to it after the bars and clubs close, with no avail.

What happen to the days of bumping into old friends that you grew up with, and greeting them with a hand shake or a hug? Once in while a little fight here or there but nothing about taking someone’s LIFE. This Very Sad May Mr. Rivera R.I.P

Woulda been safe if he was home with some of his 4 kids instead of making a point outta being a regular in a zoo in the middle of the night every weekend. Yeah...it was the blue cheese that brought him there. Can't get that stuff outta the fridge or anything.

The subshop isn't the problem. The problem is people.

Wow the LPD have a handful this year. What is wrong with the city? What is wrong with people in the city? What is wrong with the LPD? How many suspect that LPD arrested and prosecuted?
Maybe only the ticket giving out to the violet driver with sit belt, red light etc..
The problem is the police do not get any cooperation because of the "lowlife code of silence".

Forty years ago Santoros was very safe to go to late at night. That was before all the special people moved into Lowell.

Lets see Carlos was 25 years old, had four children and a 19-year old gfriend of seven months. He was in Santoros every Fri. and Sat.night at 2:30am. Sounds like a responsible young man to me.I notice there is no mention of the mothers of Carlos children,or whos supporting them(mothers and kids)Why do you suppose someone who knew him would be out looking to kill him at 2:30am. Im sure he was turning his life around. He probably took the neighborhood kids for ice cream too, like the last two thugs that were gunned down in Lowell due to their involvement in the drug trade. When are the Lowell Sun reporters going to do their jobs and start talking to the police and D.A.s to find out who these thugs really are instead interviewing "friends"and relatives who spit out the same tired old lines. This guy was a victim of his lifestyle and didnt have enough Love and Respect for his kids(or their mothers)to give up his "gangsta"ways.Good Riddance Carlos.Best of luck to your children(theyre gonna need it)

WoW another shooting in Lowell. Unbelievable really. What the heck is happening in this city?

I do not recall in my life time so many deaths in one year. Where the hell r they getting the guns? What the heck is the Lowell Police doing about these thugs? I know if I had a husband or brother or father or sister on the Police department there I would say leave tonw this is a lost cause but come on...

I think they should do a sweep of some kind. I don't have any answeres and I don't know the people who have been killed but what if I was there getting a sub or pizza myself and caught in the crossfire.

This is really bad. Back in the 70's Santoros was the place to get the best pizza. It was kind of scuzzy then but they had the best and it was nice that they were open so late.

I have no idea either who owns / runs the place now but I hope they have installed cameras. There must be cameras somewhere in the hell hole of a city by now that can capture some of these murders.

It's time to sweep that city i don't care. One of my family members could have been in the locations or been driving by themselves during many of these numerous senseless murders.

If I were the Police I'd declare war right now on the gangsters of Lowell and go door to door. Serious In my life time I never saw it this bad and I've seen a lot.

I don't care who the heck this guy was. He was 25 years old dam it! These people don't value life at all whoever did this. I wont be traveling to Lowell for some time now until I hear of some crack downs on the gangs and guns.

Really bad news now... LPD clean up the place will you please! At least make it save to drive through the city with out ducking.
