I can't remember the name but about 7 years ago a man got into a fight with his elderly father who was living in Archambault towers. He killed him and stuffed his body in a rubbernaid bin and left it on his front porch on Royal street. I think another relative found it.

I knew one of Linda's children in the early 1990s when we were both about 13. I remember hearing that his mother had been murdered. we were both troubled youth. I hope his life is going well now. it would thrill me to hear that he had gotten an education, a fulfilling and stable job, and is realizing his dreams.

I remember Brenda... I remember when she disappeared... I do recall a rumor about some older man she was seeing... rumors do originate from somewhere..

I have no idea who the man was. I just remember hearing on the streets way back then about an older man she might have been seeing.

That was such a tragedy. I lived right down the street from were that happened. My children were the same age as her two sons. Although I did not know Catherine or her family I was very upset by this tragedy.
yes i remember this because those were the people who moved in after we moved out! The address was actually 20 Usher St. Usher is a tiny side street of off Upham. <quoted text>Donald Beaudry was murdered at the Colonial then. He was walking through the bar when he bumped into a pool cue being held by the murderer. Donald said "Excuse me, sorry..." as any polite person would do. But the Killer didn't care for his apology. He stabbed Donald to death. Some two weeks later, the killer was fished out of the Merrimack river up by the Tyngsboro Bridge. With his shirt pulled up over his head. Donald left behing two very angry, vengeful brothers. Roland and Emiol. End of story.
Don was a good friend of mine. He was shot by this jerk. he wasn't stabbed. He was with his best friend who saw Don die right in front of him. The way his friend Kevin told the story, was the killer was at the bar waiting for his brother to come, he was going to kill his own brother. Don bumped into him and had words with him and told the guy he was going to stick his gun up his ass... the guy pulled out the gun and shot him, just like that. Back at home Kevin's girlfriend and Don's girlfriend were cooking dinner waiting for them to come back. Don never did. But you are right about the guy found in the river... and I don't think it was suicide. RIP Don.. I miss you!! You didn't deserve this.

I was married to Bob Bates- I knew you and Brian when you were very young. I saw your mom a few years ago, when I ownd a Curves Franchise.

We hung out with your mom and dad alot. Your dad was good friends with my ex-brother in-law Jerry.

I liked your dad alot... I'm so sorry you didn't get to have him a lot longer in your life.

I don't know why people are taken away from us at such a young age.

I lost my daughter Kimberly in a car accident 5 years ago. She would be 24 today. I know you're older than her, she wasn't even born when your dad was killed. I think you're close to Angela and Jerry's ages, not sure if you remember them. It's been such a long time.

I hope that you are doing well. Just remember that there are those of us that still remember your dad and think about him.

I hooked on to this site hoping I might get some information regarding the murder of my sister in law Debbie Bates. She went missing for 11 years and was found dead wrapped in a blanket off of rte 3... no one has every been charged with her murder. I know there is someone out there , that knows something.

Take care Kelly...

You know, I think I remember this story and was that her father the Sun had a story about this and their interview with the girl's father, including his picture, mentioning he was in poor health; had a lot to do with losing his daughter. He was asking for justice for his daughter's murder and was pleading with anyone who knew something would come forward and tell the police whatever they knew about this case. I think the girl's boyfriend was in prison at the time of her murder.
I could be wrong about whether it was Brenda or another girl. There's been so many murders in Lowell and surrounding towns, that you can't keep track of them. It rocks me to the core when the killers don't get caught. Are you familiar with the Judith Chartier case? A long time ago she was driving home from her boyfriend's and was supposed to call him when she got home. She never did, and he got worried and went over there only to find out she never made it home. I think she was 17 yrs. old. I think this was over 20 years ago. She and her car (which was very distinguished and stood out) completely disappeared w/o a trace. It's a cold case. Her poor mother kept Judith's birthday cake in the freezer for many years. What a terrible tragedy. No parent should lose a child. I felt so sorry for her. They lived in East Chelmsford, but I believe they finally moved out of this area to NH, and I thought I heard the mother died?
Kimberly's mom, I am so sorry for your loss of a young daughter. I have 2 daughters, and I can't even imagine what you've gone through. My deepest sympathy.

Is the Laconia still around? Used to go there all the time in the late 60's--even have a postcard taken, I think, during WWII of "Lowell's Most Beautiful Bar."

Scott Murray was one of the perpetrators ... and I forget the other guy's name; it was so long ago (I was about 14). I'm not sure it was Chevy's at the time, though; Dillon's Raft I believe the name of the bar was -- it became Chevy's after Dillon's was closed down subsequent to the woman's murder. She was tied and thrown in the river to drown, wasn't she? Good Lord!
His name was John Murray and the other guy was roland sylvester, I'm not sure the first name of sylvester and it was at the raft bar

today would be my sister in laws Debbie Bates 41st birthday if she was still alive. She went missing at age 23 and was missing for 11 years.. they found her body and her babys fetus along rte 3 when they were doing construction back in 2004... The person who did this and kept her body for 11 years knows who he is.. I think we all do.. don't know why the Lowell Police couldn't figure it out..
God Bless you Debbie, I've missed you all these years.. someday George will pay for what he did to you!! she left behind a 2 year old son who never got to know his mom!
I would love to know the last name of the mam who owned the pizza place that they said Debbie was seeing. Was his last name Nolan?? I remember George from many years back. He dated my best friend for a very short time. My best friends little sister went missing shortly after. A year later they only found a torso. Thirty years ago this year and her limbs still were never recovered. I am seeing other connections I do not like. I need answers more than ever and hope I can talk and you can help.
