Anyone remember Ding Ding (Tommy Ellis, sad story of a man really), Depot Annie, or the Cat Lady?
I do remember Tom. It was sad how all the kids would torment him. I was scared &^%* of him though. I do remember when I was about 14 having to defend him one time. Some kids were taunting him and I so happened to be walking down the street as he was walking towards me. He asked me to make them stop which I did but more so out of fear that he might smack me one if I didn't defend him. Oddly enough he thanked me after I did speak up to the kids and he continued on his way.
I do remember the Cat Lady as well and heard of Depot Annie but I don't recall seeing her.

Correction ... not SCOTT Murray; it was Kenneth Murry
Actually it was John Murray and Roland Sylvester that killed her. It was a sad day because I knew the girl and the 2 losers that killed her. John Murray hung himself awaiting trial. Roland is still in prison. Oddly enough though is John's brother Kenneth hung himself too at a very young age and many years before John did.

Clue see my info on the previous page. It was actually 8 people, 5 children (and 1 dog). I remember wathcing the fire and the body bags being removed. It couldn't have been 1983 though because I was in HS in 1983 but when that fire happened I was at St Joes Elementary and had to walk past the building everyday to/from school until they tore it down. So the latest it could have been would have been 1982. One of the local funeral homes paid for the funerals and the cemetary plots pro bono.
i went to high school with one of the killers 1978-79 around that time they burned that house

Linda went to the Apartment shared by Roland Sylvester and Kenneth Murry....Bad things happened there that night. Autopsy showed she was alive when thrown into the river. My tear ducts are swelling just thinking about it. Judge Robert Barton sentenced Sylvester to three consecutive life sentences to :assure the community that he never sees the light of Day again." Kenneth Murray avoided trial by hanging himself in the Cambridge jail.
It was John Murray.& yes he hung himself

Does anyone know the name of the three men invloved with this murder? I went to school with one of them in Tewksbury and it is driving me crazy that I can not remember his name. He was either from Tewksbury or living in a foster home there.

I remember Tom -" ding ding " . I used to see him in couples square
when I was a kid. We all teased him . Typical kids. Guess he was a boxer that was punched one too many times. So when we would shout " ding ding " he would start shadow boxing.

I've always wondered what happened to the Chartier girl. Last seen at a party in Billerica. She went to bring her boyfriend home because they were fighting and supposedly headed back to the party ?
I think this was in the early eighties. The boyfriend was Roger Balkum of chemsford.

Ya, Judi Chartier. Sad...they never found her car either. Personally, I think her car and/or her, is in the Concord River... Was never dragged and I don't think they ever looked.
It was around 1980 or 81.

The most memorable for me would be the murder of Dr.Hugh Mahoney ,his wife ,and son John.My family was personal friends of the Mahoney's.I believe it occurred on New Years eve(Not sure of the year). The Mahoney's were home having a peaceful night in there home in Tewks when these creeps knocked on the door.Evidently they were looking for Dr. Mahoney's gun collection. The intruders shot all three that were at the home that evening.I was a personal friend of the son for many years. This murder sent shock waves throughout the community for some time.God bless the victims and there survivors.

I'm always seeing shows on with psychics that often help solve these mysteries. Too bad no one has taken enough interest to do some more digging. I would think they would have searched the river.
