Yeah, Cobblestones is a joke now. I've never been so disrespected in my life. I use to enjoy going there for a few drinks, but not when their staff is always unpleasant. I'll stick to the 99.

I've never heard ANYONE complain about Cobblestones until now. Pearl, what didn't you like about the food there?

If Pearl thinks The 99 is fine dining I think that explains why she wouldn't enjoy Cobblestones.

I KNOW COBBLESTONE'S IS TOO EXPENISIVE, AND MOONSTONE'S HAS AN EXPENSIVE LOOK.

I doubt they have a time limit. I've been there numerous times and never had a limit. Most restaurants prefer you stay for no more than 2 hours especially when people are waiting for tables though.

They're not even in the same league. chains like 99 and Applebees barely even prepare food on site. If you can't tell the quality difference you're probably better off at the low end places.

Wow, Cobblestones gets slammed and 99 gets celebrated. This thread is strange right from the start.

I don't get the venom spewed at Cobblestones and Moonstones. Both are really good (Moonstones is actually the better of the two). I don't know, I go to Moonstones, enjoy the atmosphere and food and then I leave. I never feel rushed out the door.

Now if you want to slam a place, how about JJ Boomers in Pawtucketville. That place sucks.

Go to Centro, you won't be disappointed!

Centro has the best food in the area!!!

It's worth living in Downtown for Centro alone!!

When they were in Dracut they were pretty good. Then I guess the chief cook left and it went downhill from there. We tried Boomers on the blvd once and that was enough for me. To be honest, I like places with parking lots. Texas Roadhouse in Nashua is a favorite. If they could just turn the music down a little.

I never said anything about the 99 which I think is a glorified Wendys but Cobblestones is just overrated. I went there for dinner and ordered the NY sirloin and it was horrible, I actually asked if they ran out of meat and had to run to Market Basket and it was almost $20.00.Now JJ Boomers has to be one of the worst restaurants I've ever been to there is literally nothing good about the place.

The best Resturaunts in downtown (In Order)

1. Centro
2. La Boncherie
3. Blue Taleh
4. Cobblestones
5. Ricardos
6. Fortunatos
7. Smokehouse

Didn't think it was worth counting bars... Although 4 Seasons is definitely a hidden gem!!! The Tips never disappoint!
My Opinion at least....

They are very good, but you could try the 4 seasons. Its virtually the same menu, but for half the price. Either way, both work well!

I have no problem with how much Cobblestones charges, because I have never been there. I looked up their menu online and with ingredients like haricot vert, potato celeriac smash, mac and cheese with peas (yuck), rainbow Swiss chard, and fennel and lemon creme fraiche they scared us away! Sell me a nice prime rib or baked stuff shrimp and I am a taker for $21.99! Most of us with money to spend in the area are higher paid blue collar workers.

Service has a lot to do with dining out choices. I will never go to Cobblestones or Moonstones again because of the rude staff.
