I hope at least one family is reading this on Damon Rd.

What kind of people befriend level 3 sex offenders and allow them around their children and grandchildren?

One cannot continue to deflect blame when one chose repeatedly to force visits around children due to 'friendship' of Brian's mother.

Surprisingly, for such a small town, there are a lot of 'family secrets' in Ashby. Growing up, it blows the mind how many families dealt with serious issues such as incest, physical abuse, substance abuse,... Back then it was only spoken of in 'whispers'(ie gossip), but not many had the backbone or integrity to put the victims first, as should be. I, for one, will not continue to 'protect' family skeletons. I am done hiding my history.

My own children will never have to worry about a parent who puts others ahead of their own children's safety.

I do have to say that it is highly possible that the family that stayed with him had no idea of his history. I personally know someone who is a sex offender, I DON'T know what level, and I don't have many details on what it was for.... I've known this person since I was 11 when my dad and I met him and his GF. It wasn't until I was about 18 that we found out about him. So, as sad as that situation is, I really do NOT wish this on anyone, you have to give the parent the benefit of the doubt that they might not have known at all. And yes, small towns are like that... anyone not from one would not know what it's like.

In this particular instance, it is not possible in any scope of the imagination, that the Brian's or my family where not aware of Brian's and his family's history.

The adults in charge decided to put it aside, so to speak, and if it was complained about, those complaints were attacked and ostricized. Because Marlen was a family 'friend', regardless of what happened at hers or my family's homes.

"There is no reason to believe that he is a danger to the community". Look at his record. I just don't think these people can be rehabilitated. Do the communities a favor lock them up.

"No reason to believe..."

Blech.

When someone, and/or their family member has had numerous complaints against them since childhood, and the 'adults in charge' CHOOSE to overlook those complaints, then those adults are just as much to blame.

C, P lesson.

There is no evidence Racine poses a threat to the community, other than his criminal record, she said.

"Beyond the record, there are no other factors supporting detention as the only option," Goldenberg said"

What more evidence is needed this sick F%^& should be locked away for the rest of his pathetic life. I hope he is abused in prison and dies a horrible death. Judges should be disgusted with themselves for giving these baby blasters such short sentences. Maybe if this dirt bag raped Goldenbergs kid he/she would think differently!!!

A level 3 offender is classified as a high risk to re-offend!!!

That should be enough evidence!

No bail was, for once, a good decision!

Maybe the answer to this piece of garbage's problem is to put the children of all the officials and professionals that feel he is "safe" to be out in public and his lawyer's children with him for a few hours and then see if they change their tune. Then castrate him and lock him up and throw away the key. Better yet put him on display on the ashby common and let the townspeople take care of him.

Maybe they should look back to his highschool years for more victims seeing that he went to school at Monty Tech for Child Development......

I also could not agree more with putting him on the Ashby Common the towns people could stone him to death.....

that a boy told his parents he was abused while the family stayed at Racine's house, Dillon said.
.......
We need to pay more attention and protect our children. We should check the National sex offenders list OFTEN: http://www.familywatchdog.us/
Especially before moving to a new neighborhood, school, etc.
This poor kid was left in the hands of this monster! with no way to protect himself. and now, his life has been changed FOREVER. Those scars run deep.
----------
These monsters should never be allowed back into mainstream society. Send them ALL to a desert island to fend for themselves and abuse each other.
Something has to be done to protect our children.

what a joke ~ no evidence he poses a threat other than his record? Is that not why records are kept? Level F*n 3 and there's no evidence?
How does Goldenberg sleep at night?!
given the latest allegations, detention is obviously the only option... too bad he made it out of the hospital. piece of waste.

So when he was released was anyone aware that his house is in front of the neighborhood BUS STOP???
For years the parents of the children in this neighborhood have sat in cars waiting for buses or driven their children to school for fear he might decide today was the day he would re offend..
Send them home after they offend only wait until they do?? Who's fabulous idea is this?? Send them to live in the judge's or better yet the defenders neighborhood and see how fast they stay put in that jail. Now he gets three hots and a cot at our expense to boot.... its a no win situation.
