Come on people. I'm sure lots of you have something "mysterious" you remember about Billerica. Oh my God, all the drugs!! And with the recent news of the Ramos trial, drugs have serious consequences. You want to use mind altering drugs?? Consider the outcome.

There's lots of dirt my memory can surface pertaining to the town of Billerica... anyone elsse??

Why would someone that signs on using "unknown" for a screen name want others "brought out into the light"?
Brain Megarry was killed as a result of his Dad refusing to pay for protection from the Winter Hill Gang led by Whitey Bulger. They placed Billy Barnoski in Billerica to look after the Merrimack Valley and that's also why Jackie McDermott was whacked as they shook people down from Providence all the way to Portland Maine.

This haunted little small town really gets a bad rap. Ironically, it is one of the most desirable middle class towns this region to reside in. It does have a lot of nice neighborhoods, estate developments, etc... and they keep finding land to put up more.

It's like there is just something about Billerica!

HA...on what planet is Billerica one of the most desirable middle class towns to reside in?

Well let me rephrase a little then: maybe not THE most desireable, but MORE desireable than say Tewksbury, Wilmington, Lowell, etc... and more affordable than Bedford, Carlisle, Burlington, etc... I'm talking neighborhoods like tower farm, franklin street, forest park ave, etc... On the FLIP SIDE, yes, some very crooked business in Billerica, always has been always will be!! There is no denying some things.

Well I don't have any untold stories, but I do know of all the corruption within the PBD. There've been "hangings" called suicides... there was that black cop, forget his name.. very corrupt and into drug business. I'm familiar with some of the old time names you mentioned as well. I remember Brian McGarry's death, brutal and gruesome. Never liked ANY of the BPD, NOT model citizens. Yes, Billerica's finest should be brought into the light. A book about Billerica would be an interesting read for many of us.
dean roy was the cops name.

How about some good things that came out of Billerica such as the kids who ended up playing professional sports. Tom Glavine, Mike Glavine, Bob Miller, both Mike Mastrullos. And I know there are others I'm not thinking of.
I miss Billerica and I wish I never left. The school system is better and the town has so much to offer. I get homesick thinking about it.
Better than Tyngsboro???

As I sit and read all the fourms on Billerica, I see a lot of people talking about different crimes involving the police and many names over and over again. People are always responding asking more questions about what others know. and I myself wonder about different things. Blackie Mckay,Scazilli(sp),Kennedy's,t he drugs, the death's, the forgotton story's. and most recent the poor Donovan's,(RIP).
I read about all the different party spots.from when most of us were younger, the clubs. And again I wonder really how much went on that no-one really knew about or found out about untill later in life.
People like to make fun of Billerica and say were like somerville with trees. we just have a long history. I myself like that. I will be turning 51 this year and I have truelly thought about wrighting a book on Billerica by the time i turn 60. so any untold stories, or things and experiences that you have gone through would be very helpful.
I hope people will use this fourm and wright their thoughts and stories
You need to know the proper spelling of "write" before you consider "writing" a book. And it's we're not were...

And daddy has a mullet, a trucker hat, and a wifebeater and mom's dressed 20 years too young with a bad perm and a Newport. Little Billy either has a Hulk Hogan or Dale Earnhardt's smiling mug on his worn out t-shirt...can't decide which.
