I'm sick of CSED not doing their job. They don't care about the kids. Its all about the money to them. NMCSED needs a major overhaul and the first to go needs to be the are director!!

I am not siding either way. Just keep in mind the system has rules. The ppl that work in those departments most likely have their hands tied. I know that in Lea County we do have the "Good ole Boy" system and it sucks, but if ppl stand up to it, and let their voices be heard. First you need to find out your RIGHTS. Then take action. People have so many rights that most of the time we don't use them. Either because we are not aware of them, or we don't know how to go about it. Tobie if you need to see about your rights you can contact a victim's right lawyer. Of course we don't have one in Lea County, but they have them in the State of NM.

Stand up for your rights????!! In Dist. Court? Lmao let me tell you about a young man who has 50-50 custody and still pays $4000.00 per month in child support, and he only makes about 60k a year. So why is his child support so high? Because Judge Sanchez when he was an attorney lied to CSED purposely Figured it Incorrectly as to get it set as high as he could because "he didn't have any proof, but felt the father was not reporting all his earnings!" ALL this after all this father's taxes, income, and bank statements were disclosed. I know for a fact this took place, and have heard Mark laugh and tell more than one person what he did!! You ask why he would do this? Because the mother's family gave $ to Mark as a campaign contribution!! And I only wish it stopped there! Long story short, the father has spent a lot of $ he doesn't have and it hasn't changed. In fact he even pays child support for one child that lived with him for the past 3 years and is over 18! How's that for rights!! State Law says it has to be recalculated but not in this case apparently!! This is atypical of why I don't work in the legal system anymore!

Tracie,
have the father contact the state and call for a judicial review! Avoid talking to CSED or Governor Martinez office! If you need help or have questions just post back and I'll find some way to meet or talk confidential.

I heard from my sister that works in one of the state office, that CSED was being investigated by the state office. She said it's nothing new and of course, they probably will move some people around and try and cover it all up. She said the only reason they are doing this much, is someone called the judical review board about some corruption and so they had to take action, or at least seem like they cared. It's hard for me to believe that the governor who is self proclaimed "hard on corruption" hasn't stepped in and tried to fix things. I know where i work as a secretary, out of 250 employees, probably 30% of the guys pay child support, and the amounts they pay are all over the board. So, if 1/3 of all child support cases out of this office are wrong, that is a ton of money! Will the state return it? I definately see why the state wants to cover it up, and why they are gearing up for a class action! Good, Hobbs, needs to clean house, especially in the judical department!
