lovington cemetery tall tale?

when i was a kid we would visit my grandmother there and go to chapperral lake alot. one time i remember my uncle driving us by the cemetery and telling us a story about some kids who went into the cemetery one night sometime in the 60's or 70's , to find a glowing headstone and one of the kids never came out of the cemetery. onethe kids was supposed to be a 16 year old girl. is this story true. my family always said it was. any insight on this would be most interesting. and appreciated.

The "glowing headstone" is true; there is a notorious gravemarker that stands out more than the others when viewed from the field to the north west of the cemetery on (cloudless) nights when the moon is full or nearly full, although the effect has worn off over the last 30-40 years due to weathering of the stone and corrosion and dulling from H2s gas in the area.

The part about the girl disappearing is purely the stuff of urban legend, though.

Reed Rd, which runs North to South just to the east of the cemetery, has many paranormal sightings and stories associated with both the road itself and the houses immediately accessible from it... thats a whole other can of worms, though.
