Can it possibly be true that this company wants to have workers sufficiently educated to fill their job requirements, but blatantly doesn't care to provide their fair share of funds to support our education system? Won't they want free fire fighting, emergency rescue, and medical support from whatever county they locate in, too?
In my opinion companies who seek to shirk their responsibilities by playing off one community against another are just conniving parasites! We don't need operations like this in our State.
Maybe this game can be played another way - Let's join with the citizens of Orla to both refuse to offer "tax incentives" to this company!

I'm thinking that the CDOD will support it if they are paid a bribe. No wait, it's not a bribe if they ask for it in public.

....How much cash is southern willing to give the county to come here.....

They may lose some revenue with incentives and breaks, but if Southern goes to Texas, they'll lose all revenue.

Let them build it in Orla. I'll bet those 30-so called "high paid" workers still end up living in Carlsbad area anyway.
