Wow, good ole Carlsbad, if you want to get away with murder go there. This is ridiculous. Here the criminals that can continuously kill people walk the streets and attend school with the victims's grandchildren. This town is such a disgrace, I can't even fathom taking my kids to visit their family there. Interesting enough to me, it seems as if the law, the politicians, including judges, and the criminals all work hand in hand to benefit each other. Maybe no one has been arrested for the murder because the killers could rat out someone of "importance" in Carlsbad. I have seen this over and over again. I guess I could help pass along the corrupted state of Carlsbad to every major network newcast in the United States until there is some kind of pressure for law officials to do their job and arrest the murderer before they arrest someone over a pitiful charge like they have with Shane. I will be sure to get this information a/s/a/p. Once again, Carlsbad Police Dept./Sheriff Dept. you have proven that you are incapable of doing your job, and that is keeping people safe on the streets as well as their own property. Bravo.

This is the second person Shane has killed... He ran over and killed his girlfriend with his truck on Hidalgo Road in the early 90s. The D.A. would not file charges on him even though he was drunk and stupid... again...! or is that still...?

Dont you ever feel like the world was a better place in the old days of "kill them all and let God sort them out!" Oh wait a second that only happens when there isnt a judical system in place, Lord forbid that it ever happens to our kin, cuz I would have to find the nearest tree and hang someone, hopefully it isnt someone I Know!!!

but get a DWI or a domestic, and see if they wont want to hang your s,a murder charge costs alot of money, theres no money coming in there, like a dwi, a domestic violence,a traffic citation, in the average a murder charge costs the county thousands of dollars, starting with the DA, developing a case, the judge, the jury, the deputies, witnesses, the bailiff the stenographer and of course the housing of the defendant in jail, which most likely will have a hi cash bond, where a bail bondsman cant touch him,so there you have it folks.plain and simple.
you got that right

well let me put it to you this way and yes i agree with you 100%, but lets say for instance mr cox was your kin , and you hanged that fella by that tree who killed him, oh yeah you can bet that then you would be arrested, theres no two ways about that then.

DA Hicks should ashamed of herself, how do you not charge a person that is known %100 to be at the scene of the murder? This DA could atleast bring the 17 yr old in, and charge him with murder in hopes of enticing the kid to give up names of accomplices. If Rex was selling drugs then I agree with him being charged as well. I feel like going to the court house to protest the DA's decision to not prosecute a murder case, they need to know this is not acceptable. The DA is probably saving that money for her christmas bonus.

They dont know what they were talking about, he was a teenage boy and his girlfriend was crazy. They were fighting and he went to leave and she jumped in front of the car. Charges were not filed because he didn't do anything.

Bravo it must be easy to judge law enforcment officers while you sit in your home knowing that they are out protecting you and your family and doing all they can for hardly any pay and being shot at so lets add your big mouth and codesending comments from people like you its already a thankless job with out your fat mouth so think about that the next time its 3 am and you need a cop

THE same with this 17 yr. old kid they were shooting at him after they stole his money so he shot back. so charges have not been filed because he didn;t do nothing. what he did is called self defense. what goes around comes around.
