Loveland police officers occasionally are too aggressive with their questioning of Loveland homeowners. Walking your dog on a public sidewalk created an unusual suspicion for a Loveland officer who questioned the resident, do you live in this neighborhood??

Is their a correlation between police power and a resident walking his dog?? Another excellent example is a Loveland officer executing "radar" from his patrol car while parked in a resident's private driveway!! Loveland police officers need education regarding acceptable behavior while performing their duties and responsibilities of protecting the public!!!!!!!!

I am a police officer from another town, but I have family in Loveland that I visit frequently, I have noticed they are a bit aggressive and over bearing. As for the RADAR issue, if the owner/occupant allows them to do so, then there is nothing wrong with that. Speeding on residential streets is a issue, and seeing how most of Loveland is residential streets, its the primary speeding issue, and some places there is no where else to park. Try parking on Mohican Dr or something, there would be no where effective to sit on the road, as RADAR only works at certain angles and distances. The best line of defense is to drive no faster than the speed limit, you can drive less if you want to.

Jerry - If you are truely a police officer from another town then you should know that taking an entire organization and marking them "aggressive and over bearing" shows a lack of intelligence and common sense on your part. Your experience should prove to you that not every person should be judged by the actions of their peers and this is the same for police officers. You may have had a bad experience with one of the Loveland police officers but is it fair to judge the entire department based on that experience? Have you forgotten that police officers are generally authoritative by nature and this measure of control can often be interpreted in a negative light by those who are not criminal in nature? A police officer's biggest fault is that he or she automatically assumes the worst of each person, that is how they find evidence, solve problems and more importantly...stay alive! Unfortunately, the demands of the job may not always allow the police officer to explain every action and detail to someone who feels they may have been wronged.

Law enforcement is difficult enough without being undermined from within. If you have a specific complaint, please take measures to resolve that complaint without substantiating the ranting and irritation of Mr. Randall. Simply asking someone, "Do you live in this neighborhood?" doesn't seem "aggressive and over bearing" in the least. How do you know if this person was a "Loveland homeowner" unless you ask?

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Virgo

Be careful you don't wind up doing someone else's work today, Virgo. There are all sorts of little tricks to persuade you to take pity on them, from pretending to be ill to making such a hash of everything that you can't bear to watch for a moment longer. Then you are likely to be asked to put in some overtime, at the expense of your social life. Grr.
