Crime in Longmont

I've been thinking of moving to Longmont. It looks like a quiet small town.
I do see some gang and pedophile related activities in the Longmont newspapers. It there really all that much crime in Longmont?
I was born and raised in Los Angeles so, what you think is 'high' crime might not be all that scary to me. On a scale of 1-10 (10 being high)what would you say Longmont's crime is? What are the most common types of crime you see?

Longmont is a nice place to live. A lot less crazy than So Cal for sure (I lived there for several years).

On a scale, I would give it a 1 or 2.

Longmont is an awful place to live. Just the other day someone stole my puppy, killed it and then sexualy abused it and left it on my doorstep.

i would basically relate longmont to laguna beach. (I lived there for several years, after i moved from paris.)

I love Longmont Colerada it is one of the most beautiful cities i hvae ever seen. With all the grafitti and gang related incidents i can rest easy.

long co is nice if u can afford to live in a decent part of town. coming from the south side of Chicago trust when i say that these punk sorenos es du tuladros puntos border jumpers aint a thing.. but its ok to shoot em... better just move to Boulder.. that way if your murdered you wont have to worry about ur killer being found..

While gang-related crime has been an issue in Longmont for a while now, there is definetely no reason to let crime deter you from moving to the area. In fact, a safety tax was just passed yesterday to increase the number of officers on the street and make an already safe city even safer.

longtown is the shit east side

It's definitely one of the more hispanic towns on the I-25 corridor(at least north on Pueblo), and does seem to have quite the gang\drug problem, but there are very nice parts of town-and especially nice parts of neighboring towns.

Longmont s full of outta state forigners,yuppies,& beanards.Picture that in your mind.Its over crowded,high crime,driving is dangerous,and the economy shows a decline.These so called people are real ?????? Personally, I feel sorry for them.Lord help um.

Any place is a good place to live if you don't mind crime. haha. But yes, Longmont has the M-13 Gang and nothing is being done to eradicate them from this land. Most of the Front Range in Colorado is crowded, cause it's an awesome place to live. Me personally I'd like to move further up the hills. But do come to one of the most expensive tax bracket counties in the state, we need more people to give give give :)

Loveland is better than Longmont, and only a short drive if that's where you have to work.
