i have two children of my own i did NOT have to go to school to learn that kids NEED to eat. being a parent becomes natural, and even if they say its the pediatrician fault wouldnt someone in there right mine seek a second opinion or take these babies to a specialist if there kids continued to be this way!! there are people out there who want to be parents so bad and cant have kids and then there are people like this who doesnt diserve them and not only neglects one but two!!!!!!!!!!

Oh come on!! Babies don't come with instruction manuals!! How was she supposed to know you're supposed to feed kids every single day??

Yup, that was her defense at trial!!

SERIOUSLY, that was her defense? Good grief. If a person is really THAT stupid, he/she should not be having children at all.

Sorry, I should have read the story first. It's hard for me to believe a mother can be that stupid, but this story proved that it IS possible.

The jury's verdict was entirely correct, and I hope these cute little guys will be able to recover from the cruel treatment their mother AND father inflicted on them. How a mother can neglect her children as she did is beyond my comprehension. I hope her sentence will be a very LONG one.

70 years in prison? Get real! Even though she deserves hard time she will more than likely get a year in counseling and then light probation. All she has to do is shed a few tears at sentencing and admit her wrong doing and the judge's heart will simply melt.

Yes, there are news clips of her defense attorney arguing that point in closing arguments. They blamed to pediatrician. Of course, her own baby daddy got on the stand at testified they both would go for days without feeding the kids and would turn the baby monitor down so they wouldn't have to listen to the crying while mommy and daddy were getting over their drug hangovers.

In addition, if you go to the thread titled "3 Arrested For Starving" you'll see LOTS of posts from Tessa blaming everyone else, including the pediatrician, for her kids being in that condition. If you look at the end of that thread, I reposted some of her more pathetic posts.

Well, I certainly hope that DOESN'T happen, although I think 70 years is highly unlikely. It may be anywhere from 10 to 20 years, but possibly longer, depending on the judge.

Yes, I saw some of those posts a few months ago, I thought they were rather pathetic at the time. I'll check on the more recent posts. Thanks. Now that she has been proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt by a jury, I guess she'll find a new set of people to blame.@@

No way that will happen. She is already a convicted felon in Henry Co. She has violated her 1St ofenders by being convicted of her crime.

I think next Friday you will find out differently. She will at least get 15 years to serve , not probation

Have you noticed we live in a society that blames everyone else for their wrong doing.
