I happen to know these kids so do not judge them. Just keep your faith that the child will live and if not hope for the best.

That's just why young negroes and guns don't mix, always quick on the trigger.

Recently, July'09, my son was killed in a horrific gun accident. Two of his brothers were there and witnessed the entire thing. It was an accident, but my son no longer is here. My other son's would trade places in a heartbeat for their brother, but they can't. They are living with that image in their head of their brother. Maybe everyone should step back and take a moment and think about the boy that accidentally shot his brother, and then take another step back and think about the family of these two boys, and then take another step back and think about how you would feel right now if this horrible thing happened in your lives, BEFORE YOU SPEAK!

Accidents are preventable Madame, why were your young boys allowed to be around loaded firearms without credible adult supervision may I ask?

WOW true sign of not thinking before speaking. If you need the gory details, here goes: My son was 20 years old, AN ADULT. His brothers who were with him, they are 24 (a 5 year Army National Guard soldier) an 19, BOTH ADULTS. The 43 year old, 20 year experienced tactical Army National Guard officer, ALSO AN ADULT, who accidentally shot my son was working on an old gun and there was a bullet lodged in it that no one was aware of. They had removed the clip and checked the chamber, it just happened, okay? NO one was playing, no one was drinking, no one was doing anything. My 20 year old son walked in the door to his home, that he shared with his 2 brothers, sat on the couch at 8:00 pm, and was brain dead at 8:12pm. Thank God he never knew what hit him. The bullet hit him in his left temple and blew out the right side of his head. want to know what he was doing when it happened? He was holding the television remote, changing the channels. His older brother held him in his arms and called 911. Their lives and mine will never be the same. So AGAIN, like I said in my earlier post, think BEFORE YOU SPEAK!! You assumed that these were unsupervised children, ACCIDENTS happen with trained adults too!

Oh and FYI... I am a 48 year old, White, Irish Catholic, with a college degree, We were married before we had children. He is a 53 year old, White, college educated man, who is a mid level manager at his place of employ. All of our children are intelligent, employed, or in school! I have 2 sons who are IT specialists,( one of those sons served his country) my oldest daughter is a HS teacher, where she teaches special needs kids. MY son that passed was also an IT specialist, and my youngest son, the 19 year old, has a full time job. My youngest daughter is high school student. SO YOU GOT IT? educated adults that are WHITE can have accidents too.... You should be ashamed of yourself!

Sorry Miss Oil, but such accidents are very avoidable, common sense around firearms does'nt require the education you speak of, and sorry for your loss, however when I read your first post I surmised young children were involved, in my opinion the weapon was'nt,could'nt have been properly inspected at all or this tradgedy would have never occured, I am not ashamed for this as it was a "childish act", however again I'm truly sorry for your loss.

Well, it was not childish, it was unfortunate and sad. I guess that's why they are called accidents, because if everything in life could be planned out, we would always be happy and live forever. I just hope that the other family that this post was originally about finds solace and peace with each other, as we are trying to do ourselves

What's real stupid is all these "professionals" you talk about here that was too STUPID to realize they were handling a loaded weapon. You can't fix stupid and is a full demonstration of such.

If you read the post, and didn't just want to argue, you would have read that the gun was old and they checked the clip and took it out, and it was full, there was a bullet stuck somewhere inside and when he was taking it apart to look at it, it fired....do you understand now?? THEY TOOK THE FULLY LOADED CLIP OUT!! That's why it is called an accident!! Maybe if you had children and a heart you would be a little more compassionate in your postings. I will no longer respond to any more heartless ignorant comments.

Duh, A Bullet stuck somewhere? jeez alls one would have to do is pull the bolt back and check the chamber, If I would have handed a weapon to my Drill Sergant without properly inspecting the chamber I would still be doing "pushups".

Capricorn

You're in the mood to spend some money today. That's fine if you've got it, because you'll have a wonderful time strolling around the shops. But it isn't such good news if you're supposed to be sticking to a strict budget because that will be well nigh impossible once you've seen something that catches your eye. It will keep saying 'Buy me, buy me!'
