McDonald's - Poor Service and Customer Service

This exact post was made on the Facebook page of this McDonald's location, but they decided to delete it.

At 10:08 a.m. on 11/29/2013, we visited the McDonald's location at 2113 Memorial Blvd, Springfield, TN 37172. According to the website ( http://www.mctennessee.com/26248 ), Angel was the manager on duty at the time.

Using the drive-thru method, we ordered the Big Breakfast with Hotcakes, a Sausage Egg & Cheese McGriddle with a round egg, two Sausage Biscuits with cheese, and a Hashbrown.

Once arriving home with the food, we noticed a few issues with our order. The first issue we noticed was the fact that they had forgotten our Hotcakes. We also noticed, instead of receiving the two Sausage Biscuits with cheese, they gave us two Bacon Egg & Cheese Biscuits. Not the end of the world, but once you get the taste for something, it can be a little frustrating to get all the way home and realize the order was almost completely messed up. Yes, I know, we should have checked the food before we left the drive-thru.

Unlike the countless other times we've received an incorrect order from McDonald's, we decided to call and speak with a manager. This is where the situation went from bad to completely uncalled for.

We assumed the woman answering the phone was the manager, so we began calmly and politely explaining the issues with our recent order. Not wanting to get back out in the freezing cold to drive the 5 miles back to McDonald's, we were informed that they would give us credit for the Hotcakes (not the Big Breakfast with Hotcakes). They weren't willing to do anything about receiving Bacon Egg & Cheese Biscuits, rather than the two Sausage Biscuits with cheese we had ordered and paid for.

Due to the fact that, on countless occasions, we have received food other than that which we had ordered, along with the fact that we were treated with an attitude by the manager during this phone call, we decided to escalate this issue to the corporate office of McDonald's. We called back to this Springfield location for the Managers name and the phone number to the corporate office. The manager again answered the phone with an immediate attitude, refusing to give her name, or the number to the corporate office. Instead, she simply hung up the phone.

As I mentioned above, I have simply accepted the mistakes made McDonald's employees on numerous occasions. I'm usually in a hurry, and it's just not worth my time to go back and complain. The one time we do decide to make them aware of the multiple mistakes in a single order, we are treated to a ghetto-like attitude. This female (can t call her a woman or a lady), is not only a very poor representative of the company, but also a very poor choice for a person in a leadership role. With this type of person in charge of a crew, it's not surprising so many mistakes are being made.

A report has already been made with the corporate office, but I thought I'd share the story here, too.

All of this was after being asked to "pull ahead" and wait several for our food to be brought outside.

You get what you pay for. Dont act surprised.

If you demand five star service, dont go to a one star fast food chain restaurant.

The prices are low because they pay their employees low. Which in turn gets low quality workers.

Its not rocket science.

Take your business else where.

Gripe Gripe Gripe, all yall probably do everywhere. Who cares, I care more that you would take it to corporate. Shows your out for something free. Youll be whining about something else next....grow up

5 miles, you act like thats far. People in other countries with no food could careless if its bacon and cheese or what it is. Yall are not thankful for anything

The original poster is right. I work in Springfield and eat there once a week. I have noticed this place spiral downward, quickly. It is because of management. AND most importantly the Supervisor for the store, who took over about 6 months ago. She is OUT OF HER league and could not effectively manage her OWN store, let alone Supervise 5. There's also a new store manager, he's clueless. His focus is more on saving $ and looking good. These "savings" are passed on to the consumer through lack of customer service. There's a power struggle going on there and until they replace the Supervisor, continue to expect nothing but poor service.

unhappy customer, you have the right to be upset, sounds like melissa,del and arf all work at mcdonalds. they have the same problem as the manager. low pay and being a fast food restaurant should not excues people from being polite and giving good customer service!!!!

I completely agree, I mean how hard is it to work at Mcdonalds!

I ordered a chocolate milk shake, then after I payed for it she wanted to know if I wanted whipped creme and the cherry, yes I would when I sat down to eat those really good Big Mcs I notices these is no cherry on top, no problem I ate my sandwich and drinker my shake, then it dawns on me, I paid for it, as for me I know she wasn't paying attention to me, she had all ready gone to the next customer, there are probably people that
