My uncle drove a rail car evacuating wounded troops from the front lines. He said some of the local Koreans would walk along the tracks with huge stacks of hay on tied to their backs. He would blow the whistle as he approached, but sometimes they just kept walking so he hit them and knocked them out of the way. That's all I got.
