Ther's also the possability that your open windows can be introducing mold spores from the outside as well. Typically, like the answer stated, mold can be kicked up and spread around during demo and reconstruction without us seeing it.

If it was an open back waterproofing system you could be feeding the mold spores more moisture, which allows it to grow on the back of the walls. Remember, humidity + dark place + time = Mold.

I agree also that there are many products out there that produce VOCs but a propper waterproofing company wouldn't use such things. Even most vapor barriers installed now are low voc or non-voc products.

The big question is: Do you have wall protection with your waterproofing or just a drain?
