Well Oregon took us to the cleaners. I was not expecting us to win but I sure as hell did not think that we would get the hell beat out if us! Well now we know what to expect when we play Florida( my school), Alabama, Georgia and LSU!!! Even though I went to Florida, I still like Tennessee. I always liked Tennessee. It's a shame. I hope we get back to where we were... My wife is a huge UT fan, well she spent the past 8 years there so she is disgusted right now with them, but she can be upset. She's been a student of UT! I just want to see them have a good year.

after all the big talk, it's the same old same old for Vols. No athletic ability, no team speed and no innovative thinking from the coaching staff. I don't see this team winning more than four or five games this season. And one more thing, UT's offensive line is SOOOO overrated

I loved every minute of it. This is an example of what's to come. You'll beat University of South Alabama school of the blind. Your next decent win doesn't come till November. Enjoy the season you inbreds. Don't worry, keep your orange garb out, deer season starts soon!!

Dan Mill at UT Industrial said an arrogant tone, " Everyone knows who UT is!"

The way I see it, if you love SEC football there is only one football team in Tennessee and that is Vanderbilt. They went head to head with the top 13 team. UT can only go head to head with a top 113 team.

I hope the education hasn't gone down the tubes as bad as the team.

Rock new Tennessee football team Vanderbilt!

The new Tennessee colors are black and gold!

Haha@ Sec Football. It only took 123 years and for UT to go through 4 coaches in 5 years for Vanderbilt to even be remotely close to the best team in TN which at this time isn't saying much lol. I'd love to see how Vanderbilt would have played against #2. This is hilarious. Better enjoy it while you can dipshit

I am pretty sure SC will beat UT by more than one touchdown and that Vanderbilt will beat UT Nov. 23rd.

Vanderbilt has a much smarter recruiting and coaching team. Those coaches for Vanderbilt earned everything they got. If UT had their coaching staff they would be in the to ten. UT is living off old dreams. Butch Jones is a nice guy but why don't any of the top coaches want to come here?

As long as this is the case Vanderbilt will continue to grow in excitement.

I love Tennessee and want both teams to do well but the facts are the facts. The whole UT faculty / leadership has gone down the tubes. When the head is sick so goes the body. Good coaches know it and that is why they want nothing to do with UT. They realize it has become over controlled by certain families and they are not interested in being pressured by rich ex-alumni. They don't want it don't need it and UT will suffer for many years until that is no longer the case. So you better get use to Vanderbilt. They are not seen as politically motivated, a Haslam hack school and have so much more to offer recruits in the way of a better education.

Good luck orange, but Black and Gold are without a doubt the new colors for a long time to come. Get on board!

That was pretty funny stuff Vols Suck balls. Are you referring to the big, huge ones handing to the knees and matted in clumps of sweaty hair. You know, like the ones hanging between your mama's legs?

Alabama babies come from sheep that can't run fast enough. Bama palyer are fast. I will give them credit. But hell, they should be, they've had generations of genetics to kick in for running from the law, child support and a job.

The only job created in Alabama was the invention of the tooth brush. If it was invented anywhere else it would have been called a teeth brush.

The name fits the breeding there: Bhaaaaamhaaaaa!!!

How do you circumcise a man from Alabama? You kick his sister in the chin!

Well I guess I am done with the jokes for now.

And another thing. Don't believe these so-called recruiting experts like Hubbs. UT's Class of 2014 signees has several highly touted players that have severe athletic limitations. Especially, one local guy who simply won't be able to lineup in the SEC. Vols missing boat on most explosive athlete in the area, Xavier Hawkins of Fulton.

There is more to selling your football program when recruiting the best players. Like a great education that is recognized somewhere other than Tennessee.
There are only three schools that compete with an Ivy school education: Vanderbilt, Emory and Tulane. There is no beach in Knoxville, and the team sucks right now.
Knoxville needs to reinvent themselves if they plan on getting good talent. That starts with a top coach regardless of what you have to pay to get them. If you don't believe in your school enough to invest in a top coach then why should a kid invest his multi-million dollar football career to someone that is going to not give them the best chance to be seen in a highly competitive industry.
UT also has a bad reputation for playing politic with their players like they do with the rest of their academic programs.

Those recruits for 2014 are very good. Those are 4 stars, and they along with Butch Jones, that will be a beginning of turning this program around. I think we can upset Florida, setting the tone for this program. Butch Jones is not a Derrick Dooley. You will find out quickly...

I don't doubt UT can get back to where they once were. I think the College heads took the eye off the ball so to speak and did not keep up the maintenance on the house of pain.

UT has become too political and I personally think the Governor's personal interference in the college had actually had a lot to do with that.

The focus shifted from being on the students and the college to the heads rubbing shoulders with the Governors agendas. This is why no one or business should be allowed to have that much contribution into a university.

I can't say I blame the Governor for wanting the recognition but buying all their attention is just plain stealing the benefits from the students, the players and the fans.
