If these men have not committed any sex offenses since being released, they need to stop harassing them.

Harassing them?...Lord, I want to cops to know where those people are everyday and what they are doing. Most are released because they have done their time, but that does not mean that they will not offend again, we can only hope and pray.

We want the law enforcement to know where these people are and that they're where they are suppose to be, because if they go undetected and are allowed to just move on without notice, then you or maybe someone you know and love could be at risk.

It is the ones that haven't committed an offense yet that you need to really worry about.
Most people that have been offended has been from a trusted family member. Not some stranger down the road

Some ignorant people will believe anything they hear or read. So many blind people being led out to the pasture.

Not all who are on the public sex offender registry have raped women or molested children, but that is what the many in the media and many politicians would have you think. There is huge money in publishing Sex Offender Articles and pushing for Tougher Sex Offender Laws.

1. Politicians Gain Votes and a Paycheck for submitting new laws to Punish Sex Offenders.

2. States can request more federal money to support their efforts to implement sex offender laws.

3. Companies like Secure Alert are seeing their profits skyrocket as new laws require states to implement their products and services, GPS TRACKING HARDWARE, SOFTWARE AND SERVICES.

4. All the regulations and laws which are applied to those who are labeled Sex Offenders and placed upon the registry insure those on the registry will become JOBLESS, HOMELESS, FRIENDLESS and inevitably sent to prison for new charges.. FAILURE TO REGISTER... Any violation of the sex offender registry will net the person this charge.. failure to register which carries prison sentences.. up 10 years.(shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 10 years, or both.

Twelve Thousand people die each year on our streets in America due to Alcohol. Do you see politicians going about the nation GETTING TOUGH ON DRUNK DRIVERS.... Writing legislation to CLOSE LOOPHOLES on Drunk Drivers? Having U.S. Marshals going about the nation Herding Up and Doing Compliance Checks on Drunk Drivers? Do you see a Public Shaming Registry for all who have driven drunk and killed anyone? Why not?

I will tell you why not.

1. Alcohol turns billions of dollars in profits both to individuals who own the companies and those who own stock and all related industries.

2. The government is making a killing in taxes for alcohol being legal.

3. Sex sells on any platform.. Television, Radio, Print, the Internet and IN POLITICS. Whole campaigns have been won simply by running on a platform to protect society from sex offenders.

ALL WHO ARE ON THE REGISTRY ARE OPEN TARGETS FOR VIGILANTES, MANY HAVE ALREADY BEEN KILLED AND ASSAULTED FOR SIMPLY BEING ON THE REGISTRY

Anyone who can use Google or Bing can find news stories of law abiding citizens who were on the registry but were murdered or beaten or assaulted for simply being on the registry. Nobody who is on the registry is safe from anyone who seeks to do them harm. Being on the registry is an open invitation for murder and assault. This extends to the innocent family members of the ex offender. Innocent women and children who reside in the homes of ex offenders can be burned alive, shot, assaulted just because their parent happens to have his or her name, address and place of employment listed on the national shaming public sex offender registry.

Maybe all the violent sexual assault, aggravated rapist, pedophiles (pre-puberty & adolescence)needs to be loaded up and sent to live on your street around your family & children after the State buys up all the houses in your community. After a couple of months of this living situation (of dealing with criminals with a mental illness to humiliate and control and to fed a unquinchable thirst while violating innocent individuals) I would imagine we would be reading a post of how the police are not doing enough in monitoring. True sex offender crimes (excluding true statutory rape meaning an age difference of 4 years between a minor & adult) many times will find jobs or hang out in areas (after release)that feds their thirst (pedophile at toy stores, children areas of libraries etc)(adult rapist sometimes will volunteer at shelters, work at exercise gyms etc). Most are plagued with a uncurable mental illness to control others and it is similar to an alocholic. An alocholic is never cured of the illness; however, everyday is a challenge to not 'fall off the wagon'. When one puts themselves in an environment that caters to their individual weakness, most likely they will be a repeat offender. Thank God our State legislators have acknowledged the embedded personality flaw that makes most offenders commit the crime(s) and that's why we have stiff reporting & monitoring laws. I THANK PAST SENATOR DOUG JACKSON for all his past efforts of making Tennessee a safer place to live by improving monitoring and submitting better victim self protect statues!

They should have thought about that before they decided to violate an innocent victim! It's bad when a criminal has more rights than the innocent.

If you have knowledge of this- did you report it? I have read elsewhere she is a convicted sex offender and was staying in Hickman county for awhile with someone else who has a small boy. If you really believe something is happening to that child- REPORT! you don't have to leave your name, but someone should stand up for that kid!

Thanks for saying exactly what I've been saying the past few years. One of the number one killers of adults AND children that could be tightened up on is drunk driving. It is VERY tragic that there have been school shootings and dozens of children have died...but the comparison of the push to "save children" from guns (not trying to start a gun control debate, NOT the point) is way out of balance compared to the number of CHILDREN that die each year from drunk driving fatalities. But the general public or media doesn't push these stories or call for tighter restrictions on serving alcohol or enforcement. But then again... alcohol is big business.

I do drink alcohol, so I'm not calling for a ban. I see people at the bar slosh back buckets...the bar tender knows they're sloshed...and they walk out the door and get in their car and drive themselves home. But again...trying implementing some type of legislation for a 4 or 6 drink maximum (random numbers) unless you have a designated driver and see how that type of law flies....
