Would love to know also. ED and Bob show is great but they hinted they had about one more month. It would be a shame to lose them.

Look for Wnox to soon swap places on the FM dial with one of the following, Merle FM or sister stations WYSH AM/FM or WGAP AM. Likely Merle FM will move to 100.3 fm & Wnox with its call letters will move to the Merle location.
Merle country has WIVK in its sites and intends to go for the #1 country ratings slot in this market. I've never heard Merle but WIVK hasn't played a true country song since the early '80s. If Merle plays real country WIVK is sunk.
If you want to hear real country right now go to 850 on the am dial or by internet at www.wkvl.com
If WKVL took the 100.3 FM slot today WIVK would be all but sunk in 18 months.

What happens to Coast to Coast late night? what about going to 850AM and do they power down after sunset like most am stations, then you will only be able to get spotty coverage? why didn't they stay on the FM dial?

I was listen to "The Drive" this afternoon and Russell said they will be on 850 AM beginning tomorrow. Also, you can google WNOX Knoxville and a link to a story that goes into a small bit of detail.

I for one will nor miss them. The original show was great then it went to all politics. It sucked! If I wanted that I could go to 98.7.
Then again the move sick another damn country station....

I have the same concerns about Coast to Coast! I can listen to it on Nashville station 1510 AM, though it does present some fade, in-and-out, depending on weather conditions.

Not sure why my post says I'm from Ooltewah TN. I live in Knoxville.

I missed Ed and Bob this morn. Though I didn't always agree with them, I enjoyed their interaction and their show quite often. I also like Hallerin and Dave Foulk on 98.7, but I can't get that station on most of my radios. The Drive was full of worried drama yesterday. I don't like endings. Especially endings to local, diverse, talk radio. Or local music radio either.

The Ed & Bob show was a delight! I usually got a good laugh listening to them. Now it is country music, or some other stuffy FM station!

Living in Kentucky, I alway listened to "The Drive" on my way home. Even though there was obviously a lot of UT stuff on the show, and I am a UK fan, I enjoyed listening. Now, with them moving to 850 A.M., they can't be heard in this area. Too bad they left 100.3 F.M. That station could be heard for many, many miles and covered several states like the dew covers Dixie.

If you have a computer, I assume you do, listen live online from Nashville's WLAC AM 1510.

If you don't have a computer, 1100 on the AM band from Cleveland Ohio comes in pretty good. If one won't come in usually the other will. 1100 likely has got a computer listening option too. I REALLY hated that Coast to Coast left WNOX FM. It reached 5 states, lots are out of luck now if 1510 & 1100 are not an option for listening.

Well, somebody has got their head up the shute, no signal at night from 850 if you are around or above Norris all you can get is 960 Lafollette, at least on my radio? No Ed&Bob, no Coast to Coast. What possessed these brainiacs to change all this to a crap pile. must be a lot of money for sumpin'?
