Is Foothills Pain Management a legitimate clinic? They are located on Watkins Road in Maryville. I have an appointment next week and the fact that they recently changed their name concerns me. Does anyone have any information about this clinic? Thanks.

Synenergy is a joke. My appointment was at 10 I was there 3 1/2 hours then I was told I had to come back to talk to the doctor. The nurse practitioner had to call the Dr to see what to write then didn't even get a script i would get it when I go back. Then only get a two week supply. I don't live in Knoxville can`t drive back and forth like that I'm not a pill seeker have had back and neck surgery have 3 cages, plate and 4 screws in my neck. I will just stick with the one I'm going to. He's not managing my pain. Moved so I changed so it would be closer wish I would have stayed at ambulatory care. They managed my pain. But synenergy I won't be going back . No reason to be there that long.

Oh Pain Suffering Lady,Does your Clinic accept insurance,or just check or money order's and credit card's?Been meaning to ask you, since your place seem's to be a legit Pain Management.
I mean after all you said you run it by the book,I think was your word's,so I know you are bound to accept insurance, see that's the way Pain Management's should be..Good Luck with your practice PS.Oh please let me know about accepting insurance please..
I have a great clinic you can go to. I have been a patient there for a year now. They are great! The clinic is Skyview Medical Center they are located on Chapman hwy. In Seymour Tn. Look them up by google search. I don't want to post there contact phone number on here. The only thing that I seen you had wrote that scared you is the clinic not taking ins. They don't take insurance right now but they go by the rules and regulations and are truly a good well established clinic. Hope this helps you and good luck if anyone knows what true real pain is its me and when your trying to find a good place to go to that you don't have to worry if there going to be there when your next appt comes around or closed I know that feeling and been there. Again good luck hope I gave you some info that will help you. God Bless

What a jerk, real Dr? I have lost two people that I love due to real Dr as you call them, I was going to a pain clinic in Clarksville Tn and I am happy to say I have not had to have pain meds in over two years, they also do physical therapy not just dope you up if they are good. There is a reason that Tn is number one for prescription abuse, at least the pain clinics do drug testing.

Prescription pain meds that are opiates, used longer than two weeks, creates a huge risk of addiction. The brain gets hooked, then invents phantom pain, seeking a "fix". Ask you General Practtioner. Get h-- advice before going to any pain clinic. Around Knxl, these are being shut down, one after another.

Ha! You have a point. Unless you are forcing folks at gunpoint to sign up then its not a ripoff.

The comment about MRI being necessary to make a real diagnosis tells me someone in Georgia is more of a reader than a diagnostician. An MRI report of lumbar DDD, for example, means nothing of any significance, yet any local pill mill operator will use an MRI report of DDD or spondylosis as the justification for prescribing opiates.
Any person in their 30s would reasonably be expected to have signs of DDD/ spondylosis, especially if they are obese or a smoker, or both. Not a justification for opiates. Plus, the vast majority of adults have degenerative changes on MRI, yet have no pain.
The only definitive way to clarify mechanical back pain is by physical exam, and potentially by precision medial branch blocks. I'm not talking about the deep TPIs over the tips of the transverse processes under fluoro that all our local NP and PAs do in the chiropractic block shops and fraudently bill as MBBs--talking about true MBBs on the pedicle, by a pain-boarded doctor. Pain in the low back is either mechanical, radicular, discogenic, myofascial, vascular, renal, neuropathic, dermatologic, or psychogenic. Only a good history andphysical is needed to get a good diagnostician in the ballpark, and documentation of history, exam findings, and thought processes for ruling diagnoses in or out will go a lot farther than a lame MRI report towards keeping a

prescribed's butt out of hot water.
Great information .... And I need a thesaurus

You are so full of shit! They are the cleanest most legit clinic around. You are probably a doctor shopper or didn't meet their criteria for treatment. That means you are only trying to get drugs for yourself or to sell and they wouldn't treat you because there is nothing wrong with you, couldn't pass the drug screen or came up on the pharmacutical monitoring program as they do for all patients to make sure they are not abusing the system to obtain drugs under illegal representation. They have all the therapies and other remedies other than drugs for pain management. They also take most insurances blood work to insure your medicines are not negatively impacting your other medical conditions or organs. Go to their website PMM-inc.com and learn and understand what they do. You are obviously a drug hound and not a legitimate patient. To answer your further question about payment is as follows: They give back your visit payment less $100.00 for the administration cost and keep it on account for your next visit if you return with legitimate issues. Doctor shoppers are immediately escorted off the premises and their money is non-refundable. All of this is in their contract patient package for all to accept and sign. This package is the initial information that all new patients are responsible to fill out and understand the conditions of their being a patient. The clinic is amazing and I only know all that go their really get bthe help they need and appreciate the medical care and professionalism that they deserve as legitimate patients that warrants the treatment they get from this great real legal clinic!

And a clinic not accepting insurance does not necessarily mean they are not a legit clinic. It may just mean they have tried and been rejected or are in the process. What makes a legitimate clinic is if they are treating the source of the patients pain. It is not good to just give someone pain pills for pain. The SOURCE of the pain needs to be identified and then the person can be treated appropriately.
PS I AM INTERESTED IN YOUR CLINIC I AM A FORMER PATIENT OF BACK TO WELLNESS IN NASHVILLE THEY CLOSED LAST WEEK I AM LOOKING FOR A PAIN MANAGEMENT CLINIC TO HELP ME KEEP THE SAME PROGRAM OF MANAGEING MY PAIN AS I HAVE NOW. PLEASE REPLY WITH YOUR ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER OR IF YOU DON'T WANT TO REPLY ON TOPIX PLEASE REPLY TO [email protected] PLEASE I AM A LEGIT PAIN PERSON NOT A DRUGIE

I'm sorry you're addicted, freebird, but I won't be silent. The issue of addiction is simply too important.

I don't know where you ppl are getting your info but Preferred Pain Care IS a legit pain clinic. I have been a patient there for 18 months and I have never seen a clinic do the things they do to make sure they weed out the ppl just seeking pills! I have had 16 surgeries and had to provide proof of such before they would accept me. They verified every record I provided as well as requested their own. I get drug tested and my pills counted every month, they educate their patients and offer other pain management options such as braces, physical therapy referals, etc. And I don't know who was saying they got that much opanas, roxys and xanax from there BUT THEY LIED. PPC has actually had to ween me down to a reasonable amount of painkillers bc the clinic I went to before them had me taking enough to kill a horse! The staff is wonderful and they ask detailed questions at EVERY visit about pain control and don't just throw pills at you! The ONLY complaint I have about PPC is that they don't take medicare...THATS IT. And unlike a lot of other pain clinics they don't schedule ten ppl at the same time and make u sit in the waiting room half the day! They are wonderful ppl who are trying to help those of us who have LEGITIMATE PAIN ISSUES!

Staying on prescrp pain pills more than 2 wks too often results in addiction, needing the help of m.d., and (a) stint(s) in rehab. Good luck to all who're already addicted.
