Let him go. Set him free! Take his wife instead. She is the one responsible for Sean's death. She set all of this in motion. She is doing nothing but ruining her children's life by the choices she has made and continues to make. These kids do not need to be around a woman who is not only self centered, a liar and a cheat, but also insanely suicidal.

I worked with Eric for 2 years. Never in my life have I ever met a more dedicated father to his children. A very nice guy, good luck Eric.

love is blind! She should go to jail. All he is guilt of, is loving her to much. Let him go be a daddy to his kids!

Why isn't his wife being tried for statutary rape? He may need counseling, but not a prison sentence.

I totally agree that she needs to be the one that is sitting behind bars & going thru this crap. I saw it on the TODAY show & I feel so bad for him. Love hurts & I really think he still loves her. I really feel sorry for those babies of his. She doesn't deserve those kids. This really p*ss*s me off that she just goes scot-free when it is all her fault. The thing is he probaly still loves her so much that he would take all the punishment for her self-centeredness. She needs to grow up. She didn't commit murder, but she did commit adultry. That's a commandment that she disobeyed & she will answer for that one day. She still has GOD to judge her when that time comes. GOD BLESS Eric & his kids. I hope this all works out well. I will pray for him & his kids.

God bless Eric??? No matter what you think of his wife, the man committed murder. How can you condone that and ask God to "bless" that act?

I believe also that the wife should bear the most responsibility for this crime. I think Eric should hire Mary Winkler's attorney - he must might get off scott free!

I agree. I think that what the wife did is wrong and yes maybe she should be charged with rape or something. But Eric did take the life of another human being and he should be punished for that. My heart goes out to the children involves in this. I do pray for God to bless them.

He won't, if his attorney can get him the same judge that sentenced Mary Winkler.

I agree, thou shall not kill!!!! Sean did not deserve to be shot to death for a sin that takes two!!! Eric deserves to be punished for his sin & Erin should be tried for rape & sentenced for her sins!!!! Hope the kids stay with the grandparents, they are the sane keepers!!! I feel pain for the Powell family, they lost their son & their family will feel the loss forever, what happened to talking it out??? God bless the Powell family & be with them on the days to follow with the trial(s), hope justice is served!!!

Odd, isn't it? This crime happened AFTER the murders of two young people, yet the case will be tried 5 months earlier.

I wonder why?
