My family and I went to Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom 5 yrs in a row for Labor Day. I'm sad its closing...it had become a family tradition. Being in Nashville, I guess we'll fight the crowds in Atlanta now for a Six Flags experience.

Yep, we were there most labor days as well, try Holliday world! It's a little further up the road, but worth the ride. You and your family will enjoy it, we did.

Why can't Nashville Shores benefit from this closure? It may be smaller but it's probably cheaper and could be just as fun as Six Flags.

And since Nashville Shores was just purchased by former executives from Six Flags, this makes perfect sense! They could build it up into something really huge for this area...

Yes it could be to Nashville advantage. But will it be? Another sport stadium. Nashville needs something that a whole family can go to, the kids HAVE to be entertained.

What a shame, why can't the Fair Board come to terms with them?

NASHVILLE ,we need this here. So many people miss our beloved Opryland USA. I for one would love to have a theme park near again. I visited Opryland far more then I will ever visit Oprymills. Let's hope our elected officials will at least look at this idea, it would bring jobs and other incentives to our area.

I'[m with you. Nashville tries to get adults here with oprymills or all the sport centers but NOTHING for the kids. We bought passes every year. We loved it and all of the kids loved it. One of the WORST things Nashville did was getting rid of it. What a STUPID decision.

Never been to oprymills and never will, or any sport games that is here in Nashville. NOTHING to offer for any family with kids. That water park doesn't count either
