Was with him till last week. He is practicing in St Mary's in Knoxville, Livingston and Crossville. Many people find him elusive but he is around although intermittently ill. He like the cat with nine lives has a way of recovering from close brushes with death. Nothing new--he was going to drown in childhood

He is alive. He is going through a very rough patch. I wish him well. I hope he sells his motorcycle.

Sick, sad, pathetic bastard. Cancer is so rampant nowadays one day you will know someone close to have it or yourself and you will think back on how horrible you were to those on this site living with it every day. You should be taken out and beaten by a real man. I hope you never pollute the gene pool.

His cortisal level shoots due to IRS confiscating almost all his income. The only income he has is Medicare which is stuck up in recovery efforts. Many of his patients have also not paid. All those who benefited due to his generosity should wake up otherwise they will lose a good doctor

He makes money but he works at several hospitals, travels overseas on missions, he is coping with a rare illness with experimental treatments available in Germany and India and is writing a book. So does not get much time to do paperwork. The regulatory paperwork is burdensome enough. So he has not filed taxes for a long time. The good news is he had help from relatives and he has completed the tax related paperwork. He has also hired consultants to relax the liens. It will probably work out but he gets tangled in something or the other. He wrote some chapters of the book but then lost it to a computer crash. His treatment got delayed this time but a good friend invited him to relax in Germany. So he needs considerate people like those not the ones who make it worse by wild behavior.

@ Sympathetic relative Please tell Dr. Jet that He has been in my prayers and have been thinking about him. If there is anyway I can help, here in TN...Please let me know. Has his return time to the states changed ?, because of treatments ? I will try to leave a message for him overseas.

Vijay is undergoing an experimental treatment and some people before him died. This time one person went into coma. Vijay has a rare survival, longevity gene so he is surviving. He has had numerous brushed with death and he has miraculously survived. He is likely to be delayed especially because he insists on seeing patients on the way back. He has a deep bond with his patients that is not appreciated by the administrators in the region who are exploiting him.

The best way his patients can help him is to pay up the long outstanding bills that remain unpaid for months if not years. He needs the money for his treatment. He has already borrowed a great deal from friends and family.

No Vijay Jethanandani has a benign tumor on his adrenal gland. As of this date he is preparing to close his practice and move to California.A very altruist person....I will miss him as he has been my doctor for about 13 years.

I saw Dr. Jett, as most of his patients call him, a few days before he closed his practice in Knoxville in mid 2013.I have since moved to Crossville (Fairfield Glade), Tn and would like to be in touch with him. I assume he did move to Calif. where some of his family lives. Have found no Dr. to replace his skills.

Dr. Jett is one of the best and well respected Drs in his field. I miss our conversations about books and life in general. He taught me valuable lessons about how to deal with issues I couldn't seem to resolve.

I pray for him often and for his health. Hope he is enjoying the wooden sign I gave him as a going away present and as a reminder of how much his patients cared and respected him. July, 29, 2014

Mercifully, he has landed in California and practices in Sacramento. He has a new salaried job with relatively normal hours and no hassles of invoicing and getting payments. The SOBs in Knoxville still owe him some 80,000 dollars. This is how they treat the best doctors in the country. Let God destroy them.

Dear Relative:
Thank you for the update on where Dr. "Jet" is and what he's doing. I am so relieved to know he's close to relatives and hopefully friends that care about him and is doing what he's been called to do. Healing. He has cared for so many others for a long time.

If you are in touch with him please tell him a former patient named Julie inquired about him. Ask him if he has read THE GIVER. It's now on at the movies. Right down his alley of intellect, much like THE ALCHEMIST he recommended I read. Also tell him I said to read GIFTED HANDS, the Ben Carson ,M.D. story. I'm hoping Dr. Carson will run for President in 2016. I can be found on facebook.

Julie,

Jets is now very busy because he is the only Geriatrician in Sacramento where there are lots of patients only he can take care of. His colleagues are very happy with what he is doing and are hoping he can do more. The workload is intense and I very rarely get to talk to him. But I will try to communicate.

Ben Carson is a good man and I like his politics. But I will be very surprised if he can cope with the rough and tumble of politics in America today.
