not all people who do drugs steal and hurt others. Did you know it cost alot more to house drug addicts then to rehabilitate them. But it seems most of you would rather just lock them up and throw away the key. Oh yes I agree with locking up people who steal to get their fix or locking up people who hurt others but I truly believe if you are someone who works and pays your taxes and are productive in life then its your business what you choose to do with your hard earned income even if that includes smoking some bud say on your off days. And no I don't smoke or do any drugs that's because I choose not to but I have in my younger years and guess what I didn't steal to get them I served this country and enjoyed doing so in hopes that my privacy will remain and the freedoms I have as an American citizen will not be stomped on.The war on drugs can not be won so we need to find another way to handle this problem I don't feel locking up people and labeling them as Felons is the answer there has to be another way its like this people will always try drugs and in the process some will become addicted to them just like some people become alcoholics some become say drug addicts we need to rehabilitate them instead of lock them up. Heck even a lot of our presidents have tried different drugs Obama did cocaine does that make him a felon? Clinton well smoked weed didn't inhale lol but does that make him a felon? Wake up America they are taking our rights away while most of you sleep. I'm sure none of you ever even tried smoking pot come on people don't lie. I would rather have a conversation with someone high on pot than have one with a drunk but that's just my opinion.

I watched a Police Officer write 3 people a ticket for Drug Paraphernalia. All three people had crack, meth and oxy's on them along with the pipe to smoke crack in. The only thing they were charged for was the pipe. Wonder what happened to the drugs they took? hummmmmm J.T.
Funny I saw the same thing..LOL and that's what I was wondering. Must have been some of his private snitches and I know one was named Rebeca(BECKY the half/toothless one)and her two friends.

chief beams is no idiot, neither are the rest of the cops in oak ridge. oak ridge is a small town. EVERYONE knows who the drug dealers and drug users are. hell i graduated with some pretty major drug dealers, it's no secret who is doing what out there. i say good for chief beams and the orpd, oak ridge used to be a nice safe family oriented community and now it's become a drug nest. sad indeed.

Sorry to disappoint you. Never played football and I'm well over the age of 50. Grew up in Oak Ridge, practically here when Oak Ridge started. I have seen a lot and know a lot. Funny how you are quick to judge when you must associate your self with the people on drugs. Whether you know it or not, it's not just the kids on drugs, but a lot of your public officials. Drugs run deep in every County and State.
Basically it all boils down to Politics. Who do you think puts the drugs on the street? Make your self aware of facts and dig deep for your answers.
Now again, is it "scum" or "trash"?

As for Chief Beams, thank goodness he is retiring. Beams only does what benefits him to make himself look good. Crimes are NOT solved!
Murders have not been solved or justified, go figure. As for robberies, break ins or theft, that's just a file in the cabinet, unsolved.

The whole Judicial System needs to be reformed!

Yawn, another lecture from above from a Classic Ridger who has lived here since the earth cooled. Cut through all the crap: drug dealers, druggies and dog beaters are all the same. Just shot em.

WHY DOES EVERYONE HAVE SUCH A HUGE PROBLEM WITH THE PEOPLE THAT SELL DRUGS? BESIDES THE FACT THAT IS AGAINST THE LAW...MANY LAWS GET BROKEN ON A REGULAR BASIS...THIS IS A MATTER I'VE NEVER UNDERSTOOD.
IF THEY ARE SELLING TO ADULTS WHY NOT GO AFTER THE BUYERS? IF THERE WAS NO ONE TO BUY THEM, THERE WOULD BE NO MONEY TO GAIN IN SELLING. BUT INSTEAD, THE COPS PICK UP THE DRUGGIES-THOSE THAT ARE REALLY HARMING THE COMMUNITY, BY GETTING HIGH ON DOPE, BREAKING INTO HOMES AND BUSINESSES TO GET DRUGS OR MORE MONEY TO BUY THEM AND NEGLECTING CHILDREN IF THEY HAVE THEM....AND THEY LET THESE FOOLS OFF WITH A SLAP ON THE WRIST FOR GIVING UP A NAME. IT MAKES NO FUCKING SENSE!!!!!!
GET REAL PEOPLE. QUIT BEING PUPPETS AND LOOK AT THE REAL SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM. IT'S SIMPLE SUPPLY AND DEMAND, NO DEMAND NO SUPPLY NEEDED HENCE NO SUPPLIERS.

Mustve been just a publicity stunt. Drugs are still more prevalent than ever in OR. Surprised cops could find the time seeing they rather harass normal folks while criminals operate freely and openly. Its not like people don't know the bad neighborhoods or drug dealers, its that cops dont care. They would sooner harass people for going 2 miles over speed limit or crossing the street than actual work. They don't care because many don't live in OR and their kids don't attend OR schools.
