What is your stance on those issues?

<quoted text>Well, D. wrong side of the bed? As to Chic-fil-A, they did not cave, they have the same corporate policy statement on marriage and the Fri. that was a show support day was the busiest in their history. They set a world record for sales, mine was one of their sales. You can check their corporate statement at their College Park Hq., just a few miles from where I live. As to diversity,in the countries that I lived in and visited, English wasn't spoken very much. As to clubs, they aren't for everyone and you appear to not be a "club" person. That's fine, don't join one. As to terrorist organizations, I didn't label Hezbolla and Hamas, the leadership of the PLO, as terrorist organizations. Our own State Dept. did. As to deep sea fishing, come on down to Costa Rica, you will have a place to stay, free.
Your buddy Dan, caved by stopping all donations to anti-gay organizations. So much for you and your friends knowing anything about cultural diversity. So yeah just stay in your lil Club and pretend you are mightier than thou.
As for terrorist organizations, what do you think a Father or Mother calls someone who has just killed their son/daughter in the occupied territories buy a plane, bomb and jet fuel made in America, flown by an Israeli pilot. The killing goes both ways!

But they did speak English.

As for the fishing, would that be on the Pacific side, as the Marlin and Sail are bigger on that side.

Individual welfare bankrupted America long before the relatively new practice of corporate cronyism and corporate welfare. This isn't to insinuate credibility in any of it, because there isn't any..by design or administration.
I do not attempt to exonerate corrupt banking entities or their hierarchy of leadership. It is this very fraternity which has been, and remains complicit with this administration's plan to direct public outrage against small community banks, surviving small and medium sized corporations not involved in international import or export, small business operators and transient venture capital we desperately need. You'll disagree, but the flourishing of this very componentry of our complex economy is critical to America's very survival. The elaborate bait and switch scam continues. As you should be aware, many of the GS upper echelon now serve the President, in one way or another.
America should be honored to recognize many decent and moral business executives who well serve their employees, customer base, stock-holders and..our economy! Once competitiveness is erased and economic stability is compromised by government picking and choosing winners/losers, America stands to reap the attendant inevitability of a literal failure of government.
Sad, Sad Sad. Voo Doo economics persist in spite of those who lived through "trickle down economics". Translated "Piss on the working class" economics. We are wiser. BOOOOOOOO.

<quoted text>I saw no administration plan to direct public outrage at small community banks. The policies instituted by this (and the previous administration) were designed to save a lot of banks of all sizes from becoming another drag on the economy as a LOT of them found themselves insolvent and carrying a ton of OREO at inflated value after the collapse of real estate values.
If the practice of basicially giving money to banks at zero interest had not taken place most of these institutions would have ceased to exist at all. The cost to the FDIC would have been astronomical.
I have done business with a local bank for 40 years and all I needed to do when I needed a loan, was call. I could then write a check and fill out the paperwork at my leisure. This bank got in so much trouble with the forclosure mess and the fall in real estate values that the FDIC now oversees EVERY transaction, no matter how small, and a 90 day note for a few thousand, now requires approval of the board of directors and the FDIC.
This is happening all over the country and has caused the result you reference above, a drying up capital for small businesses That has caused not a few to fail that might not have, as well as killing the dreams of some would love to start their own business.
If there's an inability or unwillingness to concede to the President's willful propulsion of class warfare in America, the fruit of associative rhetorical themes being clearly evident in legislative initiatives and administrative pursuits effecting the entire financial theater, futility would then be the remaining premise upon which I may have to offer you acceptable presentation of my thoughts. We all know which banks received most of the stimulus funds and which ones didn't. The disparity however, bore no appropriate correlation (as they were to a large degree - punitive) concerning which banks were plunged into what I believe to be excessive governmental intervention and bureaucratic bullying...which is unnecessarily costing small and middle sized banks and their customers more money! I suspect you are someone in support of the so-called consumer protections legislation (Dodd/Frank CPA) and its devilish details, I am not!

Additionally, I bitterly disagree with your summation of necessity for the "too big to fail" bail-outs of financial institutions. First of all, the worst of offenders received most of the proceeds. I am in the camp of economists believing these troubled institutions should have been allowed to seek debt reorganization through bankruptcy proceedings which would allow more solvent banks and investors access to the spoils of insolvency. It is my belief that wrong and unconstitutional decisions were made in this regard and the racing national debt is unabashedly corroborative!

Suffice it to say, we are in much disagreement, but My contention was, and remains that this president is directing great and dangerous social "out-rage" which he himself has produced against Americans considered to be in personal financial soundness, investment, assets, savings, and most of all..any investment capital. If I was incorrect, the fear which now holds business and investment potentialities paralyzed wouldn't exist. This is precisely what the National Chamber of Commerce attempted to bring to the president, but he wouldn't hear it!

The president's war is much broader yet. Obama is now clearly recognized as a divisive figure without restraint of compunction to willingly bait elements of society into estrangement from others\, ever moving toward a controllable and convenient arrangement of social sub-groups to easily manipulate! It's called - divide and conquer!

I shortened your post somewhat for space. tks.

...and after the Earth warms....it cools.....then it warms again....then it cools....on and on.

It's called a cycle - and the Earth has seen a great many changes both to the colder temps as well as the hotter temps. Much hotter than now - and much colder than now.

And...man wasn't even around to 'create' any of it.

There is class warfare in America "Willard", but it started long before Obama was president or a senator. Class warfare was the ideal description of Reagan's tax cut strategy of trickle down economics. That was the beginning of the transference of wealth from the middle class upward. That warfare has continued through subsequent administrations, no matter party affiliation and was placed on steroids when the 21st century dawned. Obama hasn't done much to change the trajectory, not on taxes, not on poverty, not on jobs, not on trade policy. In fact, the one policy that Obama actually got enacted for average Americans wasn't even a Democratic program but a Republican one...Obamacare.
The big banks got a bailout, the small banks got a bailout because of a zero interest policy, and the homeowners who saw their biggest investment, their home decrease in value, until many were underwater owing more than their home was worth....Did they get a bailout ? No, they got the shaft.

OW, I wonder how many of these large evil corporations haters are posting on computers hand built by some small business owner using only parts that they made themselves from raw natural materials. Or do you think they, maybe bought one in a box made by a computer corporation? How about their TV? Radio? Telephone? Car? Food? Clothes? The list can go on forever. I think they all need to stop supporting these evil corporations and find something constructive with their lives.
