Anyone remember the Village Barn nightclub in Knoxville? Lots of good times. Con Hunley got his start there. I am trying to remember the owners name. I think he was a Roberts. I am telling my age here, but that was a really great place!

I remember going when Marlboro sponsored a "battle of the bands" contest.

I remember the the Village Barn very well. I have some great memories with a couple of (THEN) hot women on the dance floor. That was back in about 1977-78. Their was a female lead singer then, after Con was singing for awhile. I grew up in K-town, but I have been out in the western part of this Country for many years now...It is nice to have a few good momories...

Jerry Cox a chaplain at the Police dept and the pastor of Powell church of God tells everyone that it was his night club and he was the owner and someone burned it down. Does Any one know if this is true? Also was. K

Sam Roberts was the owner. I know because he was my uncle and he and my father had many business deals together. It was a great nightclub and had many stars singing. I remember when Ray Charles played there. What a night to remember!

Sam Roberts was the owner and Con Hunley got his start at the Corner Lounge on Central St. Knoxville.
