Hey, I live in Henderson NC. I have been forever wanting to look into my family history--just havent found the time yet. My great Granfather was Lemmie Eugene Parrish of Franklin County born in 1885 he was the son of William Clark Parrish and Penny Marie Williams Parrish. I can almost bet that My great Grandfather was cousin to those listed in your post (ie. Mattie, William, CLyde and Sallie all born in the 1880s). If you run across Lemmie Eugene or William Clark Parrish in any of your searches please let me know. Thanks!

Sharon, I have no info about the Booker Parrish I am searching for before 1800 in Moore County. I thought perhaps he came from VA but that is just a guess. Thanks for your response, Thelma

The only Booker Parrish I have just found information on was from Virginia. They lived in Madison Heights of Amherst. This person was born in June of 1908 and died in October of 1974.
Contact the Register of Deeds in this area and maybe they can be of some help to you. THis could be a relation.

Hi Heather,
Hope all is well. I am one of Sharon's cousins, and I grew up in Louisburg, but I now live in Lawrenceville, Ga. Jeff and Eliza Edgerton Parish were my great-great-grandparents. Jeff and Eliza were both slaves born in 1855 (Jeff) and 1864 (Eliza). Jeff Parish was a mulatto slave who's mother's name was Becky Parish. Jeff was about 6 feet to 6.3 feet tall, and was a white in appreareance, black slave. How the story goes his father was the son of the Master slaveowner, and from that point the stories of his side of the family varies, from him having a twin, or a sister. It is said that his family history is from the area of Castalia, NC, and may have been realated to an older man, now dead, by the name of Kirby Parish. Jeff's facial description was one of a bearded man with hazel eyes and white in appearance, mulatto slave. Should you have any additional information to add, you may contact me at: [email protected]
Thank you,
Sylvester.

Could you give me the directions to this cemetery? And do you know any of the names on the headstones in this cemetery. More than likely this is my family buried out there. Thank you!
