I don't believe that he should be punished. I am sure he had no idea how old she was. She should be punished for sending porn over the phone. Girls now days seem to get away with a lot of stuff. I don't beleive in porn but he probably was lied to aabout her age. What does a guy haave to do make a girl prove her age before he talks to her so HE won't get in trouble. Maybe he should be in trouble but no more than her!

He asked for it and I'm sure he knew her age. I think it is great that he's going to be a registered sex offender till his 50's. HAHAHA! Choose your friends wisely. Oh and Nancy, you FAIL at parenting. HAHAHAHA!

What happened to "phone abuses?" I mean if the phone companies don't allow users to use foul language and you can complain to the phone company for people who call and use bad language, then why can't the phone companies also do so for SENDING PORNAGRAPHIC PICTURES ALSO? Seriously, they have a number in the front of the phone directory that you can call and report "incidents" of harrassment or "cursing," so why not porn? I'd check with a lawyer on that one. After all, SHE sent it. Whether a cell phone or landline, the FAA supposedly sets the standards for being able to make complaints against those who PLACE the call or for that matter, anyone who uses foul language and receives a complaint against them. If it were my son, I would at least ask.

Sorry, I that should have been the "FCC" instead of the FAA.
Telephone companies must adhere to some of the same standards as public television, such as cursing and what is "shown." (such as nudity, you don't see that on public TV, except for what happened at Super Bowl several years back with Janet Jackson. They have since tightened the rules even more) I'm serious, the girl has a "fake" ID, which is also illegal, she should face something on that alone. And another thing, when we receive "text" or pics on our cell phone, WE DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS UNTIL WE OPEN IT, THE FELLOW PROBABLY HAD NO IDEA.

We will try a 16 year old as an adult but when something like this happens the 16 year old gets treated like an infant.
We may not know all the facts of this case but with Virginias screwed up way of thinking the guy probably got railroaded.

Yes Virginia had nothing to do with it. I'm sure that there was evidence that he knew she was under age. And it is the parents fault that she did this in the first place. If they had given the child the love ad attenction she needed she wouldn't be sending nude pics of herself to get it!
