It's a shame we pay all the money to HOUSE INSURANCE and some never use it and when you need something like this whice is MOTHER NATURAL fault then they are not there to help out. If the Government would step in and tell the insurance companys you got the money from everyone then now put it back where it came from and help aid the ones in trouble. The insurance can take your money but what are they really their for? They can come up with excess not to help but you better not have an good excess to pay them. It's time the Goverment put there foot down on the insurance companys and make them help pay in cases like this.

You mean Tea Party bucks. Did those counties vote Republican in the last few elections? Then they deserve the government they voted for. I feel very sorry for them because they voted that way, contrary to their own interests, and now there's very little help for them.

Amazing that this country will send billions in aid to other countries when disaster happens and when the time comes to help its taxpaying citizens they say sorry. The help US taxpayers get are in the form of low interest loans while the billions we send elsewhere are never paid back.
In the defense of the insurance companies I will say that earthquake insurance is available to everyone. My policy costs roughly $18.00 bucks a month with a $6,500. deductible. If I lived near a creek I would have flood insurance. I recommend you talk with your insurance agent and no, I am not one of them.

Most people in this county (Louisa) voted for that idiot OBAMA who thinks we can spend, tax and print our way out of debit. Hopefully they will be smart next time and think tea party or Republican and this country might be saved!! Maybe they should also have invested in earthquake insurance which is available to all homeowners and my policy clearly has it as an option. The democrats are demanding we fund FEMA with no cuts elsewhere. CAN'T be done unless we raise the debit more, something Obama supporters would love.
signed happy in Louisa and a Republican!!!

Hey, well, the folks in Louisa chose Eric Cantor, they are getting what they voted for. Eric Cantor can't wait to send money overseas and run massive deficits if its going to some war theatre, or fighting false enemies.

But Americans?

Nah.

So feel the pain Louisa. I shed no tears for you until you wake up and smell the coffee. You make Catnor pay for his statements next year. PAY PAY PAY.

I think it would surprise even though it should anger most Louisa residents to know that Eric Cantor was the one who started the whole FEMA funds debate and put it in limbo to start with. And if it hadn't been for FEMA stating this week that they had the money that they could stretch thru the 9/30 deadline it would have been a deadlock, but this information made Cantor's resistance mute.
So Along the time Cantor was touring the County of Louisa with McDonnell. He was already thinking how he was going to use this situation to his own ambitious political gain. I hope his districts are satisfied.

Marsha Obama didn't win the county of Louisa in Va. during the vote.
Also it was the beloved Eric Cantor who put the FEMA issue on the table and started the deadlock about the FEMA funding. So around the time he was touring Louisa County, he was already plotting how he was going to use this for his own ambitious political gain.
What saved FEMA this week was their own declaration that they had funding to make it thru the 9/30 deadline which then made the Cantor stand a mute point.

Everyone has an opinion but let's use facts

The folks who voted for Eric Cantor should send him a letter asking what he and his Republican are doing to help the local folks. We have a dead beat congress so do not forget the misery you are faced with when it is time to vote again. Eric Cantor and his Tea Party loosers......they need to go !!

It's about time people made a connection between someone they vote for and the consequences of that vote.

Thinkingaboutit I think you are wrong about the OBAMA thing and for sure you are wrong on Cantor. He may be holding up FEMA dollars but good for him!! You can't keep funding programs without cutting somewhere else. Democrats didnt want to cut from that green energy money so republicans are bad, I think not and have a better plan. Lets cut some of the give away programs for dead beats and there would be money for FEMA. Your medicaid check just got cut and you no longer get food stamps.

Louisa County did not vote for Obama. We did vote for Cantor becasue he was Earl Dickinsons hand picked sucsessor. We will not vote for Cantor again. A disater of any sort, no matter where or when it strikes is not the time for politics. Everyone sitting back saying anything or doing nothing to help you may be next, the fault line that caused the quake runs from Fredericksburg to Farmville and it done yet. I hope Cantor shows up at the Louisa Cares event on Friday Oct. 14, he will see that we can and will take care of our own and then I want him to explain how he will over come 14,000 no votes.

When are you all going to get it. Federal Taxes are illegal and a scam. You pay for this and that but never really see anything come of it. Did you know your tax dollars pay for federal programs like:

A committee to decide the next Postage Stamp.

A committee to survey why people prefer green to blue and vice a versa

An oversight on over spending that has no meetings yet people draw a salary.

A committee to over see the "patriot act" and make sure it doesn't infringe on the rights of the people. Yet this committee has not one member in it.

And so many more just like this.

STOP THE CROOKS.... SAY NO TO THE FEDS !
