1st let me say...the people here have good intentions but thats as far as it goes. These folks are completely clueless when it comes to business and customer service. They (she) represents herself as knowledgable and she is, as an employee not a small business owner...so BUYERS BEWARE! This store has no posted disclosures about the lack of guarantees on any saltwater livestock.
I recently purchased a moderately priced ($60) saltwater fish and I took it home, followed all suggested methods of acclaimations and got up the morning with hopes of enjoying a new visual addition. Dispare...it didn't survive the stress of transport from LA to Richmond to my home in the short period of time. I then contacted the store to seek assistance in discussion of the policies of live stock guarantees...most reputable live stock provider will ask for the deceased item and a sample of water to determine responsibility and work with the customer to resolve. I was told, salt water live stock are very sensitive and this store offers NO guarantees or % there of,it was up to me to insure the fish survived.
I deal with many Live Stock Providers and all back their specimens with a openly disclosed policy regarding the gaurantees.
So it is BUYERS BEWARE for Crisy's Critters until they find out how to operate a small business.
Crisy - do the public a favor, go back to work for another store and take a business management course you will find out how repeat customers will give you a good reputation and a sucessful business.

I too purchased a live animal from them. They seem to not really care about you as a consumer once you make that purchase. If you call with concerns you are passed off from the guy who works there to the "owner". No business sense at all, and no ethics!!! So as you say"BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!" Hate to say this but between Petco and Petsmart, you get better product and service!
Oh....did I mention that they have a facebook page?
Quick to unfriend you if you post anything negative.

I have had the opposite experience than both of you. I was recommended to got there from another store, and they were very helpful and knowledgable. The owner is very nice and took the time to talk to me about the lizard I purchased and all of what was needed. I understand the gentlemen working there doesn't know much but didn't just give me false information and I thought that was great. I don't know much about saltwater fish but if you purchase something don't you ask before you leave the store what kind of guarantee they have. Anyway I would recommend to anyone, almost all of their animals are handled all the time. I loved being able to touch things in any other pet store you are not allowed to hold unless you are purchasing it.

I just bought three saltwater fish from there a week ago and had no problems. They are doing well in my tank. The people that help you out, are very knowledgeable and want to make your experience the best. I'm glad there is a great pet store in Fredericksburg now. Don't have to drive to far to get what I need and everywhere else is over priced. If you want to buy quality premium fish that's isn't over priced, Crisy's Critters is a great place. Did I mention, they have live feeders in different sizes. Try going to PETCO and getting a rat pup to feed my snake. Last but not lest, there is a lot of stressful and spoiled people out there, try something out before you miss out on an awesome experience due to a "frustrated" individual.

Best pet store ever! I bought a baby ball python and since then have gone back to buy her live food, each time I get great advice and help! I love them! I went to petsmart before I went to them and all the ladies there were scared to hold the snakes and didn't know how to handle them!! Luckily I did my research and I'm glad that I did!

I purchased a few feeder mice from them a couple weeks ago they were kind of expensive asking 3.00$ per mouse. The staff was friendly but it can be hard figuring out who is staff and who isn't as the store seemed to be run by a bunch of teenagers dressed in baggy pants and listening to there mp3 players. They didn't really have to much in terms of pet supplies just a couple shelves with reptile stuff and fish supplies. Same goes with the pets not much of anything there were a few dozens aquariums a majority of them had fish in them there were a few other tanks toward the back of the store that had reptiles in them. Overall the store is clean, empty and there is nothing really to see or buy.

Huge black Rottweiler barked aggressively at me through glass door when I approached. People inside ignored the situation. What the heck??(the owner's dog?) I'm a dog-lover, but that kind of "welcome" is unsatisfactory. I didn't open the door, and I will never go there again. I trust my dog, but I don't trust anyone else's. And I am NOT offended that many people are uncomfortable or afraid of my dog, so I NEVER let my dog roam the house with first-time visitors or let him approach strangers. You never know what will happen. The store is guilty of ridiculous negligence and disrespect to potential customers, many of whom do not know much about dogs. One thing I know: Most owners of Rottweilers who bit, attacked, disfigured, or killed people NEVER would imagine or admit THEIR dog would do such a thing. SERIOUSLY, it is a store. Run it like one.
