Regardless of what Mr. Snell claims on his business ads about being "Professional" and providing "Quality" workmanship, the TRUTH is in the results of their actual work which couldn't be further from the promises made by Mr. Snell. After all this time, we STILL have a lot of work to do to repair what we paid him to do ! They were VERY unprofessional and EXTREMELY sloppy. It took them two weeks to paint less than 700 sq. ft. AND they painted right over anything that was there -- door hinges, unsanded drywall patches, unsanded nail putty, hollow wall anchors, etc. They broke light fixtures and then claimed that they were broken when they took them down, and gouged our hardwood floors.
The money that we thought we were saving by hiring Colors-N-More is NOTHING compared to the amount that we have had to spend in legal fees to sue them and repair the damage that THEY CAUSED ( even the Caroline Co. Court judge called Colors-N-More's work sloppy and unprofessional ).
Look, I have nothing to gain by recommending that you NOT hire Colors-N-More Painting but I am trying to save you the trouble that we have been though. There are a lot of painting and home improvement contractors out there to choose from and, without a doubt, there are plenty of bad ones to give the trade a bad reputation. None of these "bad" contractors would ever claim anything other than "greatness" about their services so, you can safely assume that there are those who have "exaggerated" their expertise. The only way to know which contractor is REALLY good and which is not is through word-of-mouth -- REAL people who have had a REAL experience with that contractor and can tell others the true results of that experience. Unfortunately, we didn't have anyone warn us before we hired Colors-N-More Painting and there were no reviews. I have posted several photos on this post and, a few photo slideshows of the work that Colors-N-More Painting did in our home in Sept. 2012 ( POSTED HERE:
These are the pictures that were taken of the work they did in our home after work was "completed" and in preparation of our court case against them. AS SLOPPY AS THE PAINTING / DRYWALL PATCHING LOOKS IN THE PICTURES, IT LOOKS MUCH WORSE IN PERSON where you can see DOZENS of runs and sags and garbage stuck in the paint ! Look at the photos and decide for yourself if this is the kind of "Professional Quality" you would want in YOUR home !?
