OUTSTANDING !!!! Great detective work! Now, if he'll just GET all that time!! So often the bulk of the sentence is suspended, which is just pointless.

I think some credit needs to be given to the person/persons who tipped the police off the his friends/families plan to lie in court which in fact really set things off.

Hope your thoughts are much harsher for one whose taken a life! Wishing a 25 y.o. would spend the rest of his life in jail when YOU DON'T know the complete facts of the case and go simply on what the news allows you to hear/read..pretty sad! People deserve a chance and forgiveness...no lives lost or people hurt here, but you can go out and take a life or sodomize & rape people and still walk the streets!!!

Definitely way over the top! You don't get this kind of time for taking a life, or any other violent crime! Very sad..

News Flash - Rich George Huguely murders girlfriend gets 23 years........Young black man commits robbery (not good either)and faces 4 life sentences.....what is wrong with this picture......you are right WHO, They need to tell the rest of the story.........something is wrong with the justice system in a big way.....Yes this young man may have committed a string of crimes, but the punishment doesn't warrant 4 life sentences........

You've got to be kidding 4 life sentences.....I mean someone has to pay for a crime, but this is ridiculous I have to agree with Who.....there have been numerous violent/vicious crimes in the Central Virginia area that did incur that much time including several manslaughter cases as well as murder....sounds like prosecutors in Lousia are trying to make a name for themselves.

Good ole commonwealth law for ya! This would NEVER be heard of anywhere else. This is absolutely insane and unheard of, just outright sad the lives that people lose every day, the children and women who get raped and sodomized, the elderly who get taken advantage of and abused...people MIGHT get a couple of years sentence, but a man who didn't inflict bodily harm on a soul (yeah I know hearts are broken and homes were invaded and people lost their sense of security/privacy in their homes), but not a soul was injured or killed and the commonwealth wants to throw this man away for life. SMH!

I wonder how long it would have been before he did hurt or kill someone if he had not been caught when he was? Armed violent home invasions don't usually end well. I do agree that sentences should be much greater for people who kill or assault...but it does seem as if some of you are trivializing his crimes.

Who are you? A girlfriend? Get real, stop playing the violin long enough to get the tears out of your eyes...this young man is a thief, a thug and a wannabe gangsta. I hope he enjoys his life in jail w/real gangsta's. Wahhh.

Go get an education you hooligan. This has nothing to do with skin color and everything to do with the way the legal code is written in Virginia. Go complain.

Compared to the KILLING of Y. Love ...Huguely got 23 years (?)..this idi-ot should
get around 18 years and WORK to PAY for all the damages, including his own psychiatric treatment. Not sit on his phat azz in prison, rotting away, wasting taxpayer money.
