Give a man a badge and he turns into a thug. Happens ALL the time and we've all seen it. Its too bad for the few cops that are decent.

WoW, really? A officers job is to protect and serve not to harm the offender.

You are absolutely correct about that. It's cops like that who make it look bad for the good cops. He needs to work on his "people skills."

I just wonder if a) there's more to this story and b) haven't you ever wanted to just choke someone who has no regard for anyone else? I mean, if my neighbors were continuously playing loud music late at night, and refused to turn down the music I would be mad too. I would like to think I wouldn't actually choke the person, but it would irritate me. And if you take an extraordinary amount of testosterone and feed it with anger.....this is what happens. Doesn't make it right, but it does make them human. I'm not sure if it mattered that one was a cop. I think they were just 2 guys that were p i s s e d at each other.

He needs to get fired and stay fired, to often these thugs will loose a job at one PD and take their thuggery to another PD, happens all the time and public pays the price.

This headline is misleading. It makes it appear that the guy is an Orange (town or county) cop.

Another bully with a badge, I guess he didn't realize he was out of his jurisdiction, common mistake, when you think "you" are the law. Being allowed to obtain a warrant for the victim speaks volumes about the system itself. If the cop was getting his ass whipped, he would have pulled out the badge and threatened a felony, it happens all the time, worse punks on the planet.

If it was that rap stuff that has a lot of "f" bombs in it I can understand why he was upset. Also how do we know the guy playing the music didn't get an attitude with the cop, he's only human and he wasn't on duty.

Maybe that one guy should have turned his music down. I say give him a medal and promote him.

There is always at least one pompous p**** in every apt. complex.

Well, at least they didn't use their usual description of him being an Orange policeman.

The officer never should have pursued it to the point of it becoming an altercation. He wasn't acting in an official capacity so should have walked away and called the proper authorities.

Ok-put it in perspective-you now have a officer charged with felony assault. Just had officer (less than two months) charged with DUI. PD is no longer on task force--this was done before these two happened. Does anyone see a pattern? Who knows what has been covered up and god knows what is on the way. COME ON MY FELLOW TOWNFOLK--WAKE THE F UP!!!!!!!!!!
